That medicine does work and profoundingly well. It does however have a very long half-life, and since medicines take at least 4.5 half-lives of administration before they might fully take effect, it can take upwards of a month for full relief of allergies or asthma on this medication. So if a person is only taking it as needed, yes, it will not work.
