Also Owl is the evil boss. Mado the Crazy White Haired guy from the starts ultimate Target was the Owl who killed his wife. I have not read or watched this show I am just taking this stuff from Synopsis stuff.

Ok, wow. Ok, since I like reading Trash Manga, I'll just say that the show hosed up the Rescue Arc. It also really hosed up the Owl's design. And with this rear end-pull, we skip out on about two books of Kaneki actaully changing as a character, getting beat up by a ghoul with kung-fu (just Kung-Fu!) and the reveal of the Owl's actual identity (spoiler, it's The dude in charge of the Cafe, but the original was his son ) So, yeah, they kinda just rear end-pulled this.

He then takes down two of those guys in that dumb armor to stop them, then peaces out. He's just there and gone. We don't see him again for another three books. He's used sparingly in the manga because he's supposed to be an urban legend that people think the older inspectors made up to sound badass. I take it the show is not going to go that route.
