What is it? This is a goon tournament of Jackbox Party Pack 3. It will feature Quiplash 2, Guesspionage, and Trivia Murder Party. No 100 player games this time, but all the games feature AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION! How will this work? At least once a week, I will host a live stream of Jackbox Party Pack 3. You can join the game via jackbox.tv and play in any number of streams each week. Points for each individual game will be tracked, and your best score for each game for the week will be counted. Scores from week to week will be cumulative. So, for example, if you best score in Week 1 Fibbage is 10,000, and your best score in Week 2 Fibbage is 7,500, your total Fibbage 2 score after two weeks will be 17,500. I will track both an overall winner (most points across all games) as well as winners by individual game (so there will be a Quiplash 2 winner, a Guesspionage winner, etc.). But the only score that matters is how many times you win the Thumbs Cup. What's the prize for winning? The real prize is friendship. When will it take place? I'm going to aim for three streams per week, as I am housebound while I recover from surgery. At least one stream will be scheduled to try to accommodate Euro goons. I want to give enough opportunities for goons with various schedules and in various time zones to participate, after all. Advance notice of streams will be posted in the thread, probably less than a week ahead because I'll forget. Each stream will cover one session of of each game, since Trivia Murder Party is pretty long. How do I play? All you need is the ability to look at two browser tabs/windows. Just tune into the stream on one side, jackbox.tv on the other, enter the room code and your SA name to jackbox.tv, and you're in! You can even watch the stream on a computer and join jackbox.tv on your smartphone if you want! But for full immersion, you can grab a microphone and join the Goons Don't Know Jack Discord server to chat along with me and any other goons doing likewise. No I mean how do I play these games? Oh. Quiplash 2: The game will give everyone two prompts (such as, "The title of the song you'd write for the Olympics"), with any given prompt going to two players. You type in your best answer to the prompts. Then, the game will show the prompt and the two answers given by players, and everyone else votes on their favorite. Points are awarded based on the percentage of votes received. Guesspionage: Basically the questions from Card Sharks with the serial number filed off. Yes I'm old and love classic game shows. The game will give one player a question, such as "What percentage of people have ever dressed up as a Batman character?" and they must choose a percentage they think is correct. Once they've chosen, the other players predict whether the actual answer is higher or lower than the player's guess. The one player gets points based on how close they are to the real answer, and the others get points if their prediction is correct. In the finale, all players are shown an array of nine answers to a question and must guess which three are the most common answers. Trivia Murder Party: Hoo boy. This game is divided into two phases, which I'll call the Killing and the Chase. The Killing: Everyone will be asked a multiple choice trivia question. Everyone who gets it wrong will have to play a mini-game or die (don't worry, there's no player elimination, dead people still play). This continues until only one player is still alive. The Chase: Everyone will be given a category and then a list of items, and must choose which items fit the category. For each correctly-identified item, that player moves ahead one space. The first player off the board wins, with the living player having a big head start and the dead players positioned based on score. A dead player who overtakes the living player kills them and comes back to life themselves. Special thanks to CJacobs for the images! I love watching these games, glad you also consider timezones. I don't think my language level will allow me to make puns or answer trivia questions, so I'm looking forward to being a judge.

Tune in next week where people may actually put good quips for Quiplash. Maybe. ALSO. You can now get the exclusive "CirclMastr Stream Staff" shirt. But must buy it and then agree to send an additional 5 bucks to Circl cause he deserves it for putting up with us. Warmal fucked around with this message at 20:17 on May 20, 2017 |

For reasons that have nothing to do with the exchange of money, today's session is being pushed up one hour. So the stream will be at 9 PM UST, 5 PM Eastern, 2 PM Pacific.

Somehow my internet stopped making GBS threads itself long enough for me to get into Guesspionage, then it cut out again but I somehow got first? Guess the best strategy is to pay no attention to the stream, then.

This is a mercy post in order for Circl to not be the only to add anything here. I still maintain that romantic comedy is a subgenre of horror and thus my submission was perfectly valid.
