Regardless, North Korea being in possession of a missile capable of hitting the US does not mean that there is serious risk of that happening, and it's easy to see who benefits from selling the narrative that there is.

There's not much risk of it happening precisely because Kim Jong Un is a much more rational actor than we give him credit for, though if we do start making threatening moves that's when a rational actor would respond with throwing nukes around. Is North Korea dangerous? Yes. Does that mean we should attack North Korea? No, that's one of dozens of reasons why that's an idiotic loving idea. That doesn't mean North Korea isn't dangerous though, it means we need to get real and negotiate with them. I meant to post this earlier but BtAF is a nightmare to search:
