Another dead on Manus https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2017/aug/07/refugee-found-dead-on-manus-island Wonder how long it'll take for Chris Kenny to fly down there and defame the character of the deceased?

They're going to agree as party policy to do a postal vote, have it fail in the high court and then still go on about their "election promise".

If they try the plebiscite vote again it would hypothetically become a DD trigger right? Last time it passed House of Reps but was blocked in the senate? I mean there's gently caress all chance Turnbull would pull the lever, but it's a strange situation to put themselves in.

It's all irrelevant anyway because the plebiscite isn't binding. If the vote is a yes, all of the troglodytes are just going to vote no anyway. If it's a no, there just won't be a bill introduced into parliament until Labor eventually becomes the government, in which case the libs will vote no and lose. It's just the right wing of the libs trying to buy themselves some cover so they can say they tried when it eventually does go through, be it on their watch or not. Upshot: loving huge waste of taxpayer money which will be given to the dickheads at the ACL to run homophobic ads for however long the plebiscite campaign lasts. The alternative is that literally nothing happens.
