Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Jimmy T.

I watch Everyday Struggle because I learn a lot about hip-hop that I probably would never have known otherwise. This comes at a price though and that price is listening to some really terrible hot takes from Joe. I do appreciate his stories from back in the day and his experience as an artist but man can he go full salt quick.

I find it funny how in rap people pick and choose when they wanna seperate the man from the music. Lil B is a cool dude but his music is whatever for me. Joe is a very damaged person but his music is amazing. Rick Ross lives a lie but his music is incredible so I don't care. But so often people get caught up on stupid stuff like that.

What's the thing with Rick Ross? I am pretty out of the loop when it comes to this stuff.

Edit: Nevermind, assuming this is about him being a correctional officer. I still think his music is great. In fact, I picked up a vinyl single the other day of the track "Here I Am" which I had never hear before. That was an amazing track.

I can pretty much always seperate the man from the music unless his music is like directly referencing poo poo.

Like I can't listen to R.Kelly anymore as his music sounds disgusting when you put it through the lens of his crimes.

I don't disagree, I just think he's always the worst part of any song he's on. He's so... generic? Good at riding trends and getting good features/beats but not at making anything memorable himself.

In other news, Wayne released a new single today. Not really feeling the beat on some EDM poo poo but drat he can still rap

They're supposedly releasing a new DOOM track every week for 10/15 weeks (all the sites were reporting 15, but I swear the site itself said 10).

DOOM's my favorite rap dude ever but the last full project he was associated with I liked was Born Like This which was dang near 10 years ago (and it came out after about a 3-5 year lull). Don't get me wrong, there's been some loose tracks here and there I thought were solid (there was a Clams Casino remix of one of the Keys to the Kuffs tracks that I remember being particuarly good; I think Clams beats would really work well with DOOM's kinda lethargic rap style) but no whole projects so I'm kinda lukewarm on this.

Also w/r/t Budden, he's never put out "amazing" music. He's done some ok stuff, but he's nothing really special. He's just an extremely bitter dude (which occasionally makes for some funny poo poo). He kinda reminds me of J-Zone in attitude, only he lacks any self-awareness or humor about his situation. Basically he's just taking the place of all the washed-up dudes who used to appear on Vlad TV yelling about kids these days and whatnot. Not that there's not a lot of garbage out now, and not that I don't think it would be better if rap had a better relationship with it's past for the most part , but there's also a lot of new, good poo poo out now and these dudes tend to ignore that.
