Convenient that they had a spare first officer when the captain was abducted.

What are you upset about the episode is called "The Best of Both Worlds" because the Borg really are a higher life form and they're doing everybody a favor.

The two-parter is the best TNG movie though it's not technically a movie.

I like how strong and flimsy that scene makes the saucer sections construction look. On the one hand the superstructure is able to survive close proximity to a warp core breach, unprotected atmospheric entry, and hitting a planetary surface, but at the same time the shaking causes windows to shatter and the chairs have apparently been on wheels all along.

So here's my story - my family and I all got into TNG during the extra long gap between seasons 3 and 4, because there were competing stations in DC and Baltimore syndicating it, so you could watch 2 episodes a day M-F, and one each Saturday and Sunday. But somehow, I had caught the very, very end of BoBW, so I had that image of Locutus in my head and THAT music lingering over every Season 1-3 episode I saw that summer. That's some serious tension building, especially when you're ten.

Jeb! Repetition posted:Well, neither do I. I mean how the heck could you fix this. Well it's a good thing Starfleet has replaced all their outdated 2280s era ships despite its relaxed defense posture after the Khitomer Accord. Can you imagine what would happen if a powerful new threat suddenly appeared and the fleet was still mostly Excelsior and Miranda class starships entering their 8th decade of service?

I think that's the last episode to feature interesting music. They either replaced the guy or just gave him instructions to write the most boring music possible. I recall the phrase "auditory wallpaper" being mentioned in this thread

What is it with Rick's?

I think it would have been interesting had Shelby in fact replaced Riker. She would have had to have a different hairdo for it to work out though.
