My store had a free Standard tournament to try to shock the Standard scene back to life. We had 24 people, almost none of which were the people who had been complaining about Standard not firing for the past two or three months, because, Magic players. Anyway, I went 4-1 with Approach, and the deck is so fun. I'd probably change my tune if I played against a single blue deck, but until I run into some counterspell deck it's fun. My only loss was to that Eldrazi Vampire deck, I can't win when I draw all my Approaches before I can cast them and he draws all of his Thought-Knot Seers. I think that deck just has too much disruption for me.

If someone wants to spend $80 on that, god bless em'. I feel like there are significantly cheaper ways to achieve likewise effects, so if someone wants to make these cards valuable by all means go ahead. Only helps the game keep pumping out. New commander cards are weird, with lots of abilities, lots of old references, which is exactly what I like to see them printing. Yay phasing!

Well my crazy edh 1 card specs keep paying off even though I'd never trade them. What if they need to go in a Deck? Tried to put planar portal in a dragon deck, didn't work, now it's on my jank binder.

Especially since you can't even make use of any off color lands you grab. Commander doesn't seem like the right place for that card. I do like it in general though, it's a nice twist on Ophidian.
