Other people comment on their tights looking like tattoos, they themselves think it looks like they've got scales. Also now I'm reminded of all those mermaid fetishists who wheel their 24/7 foreverially mermaidified girlfriends around in wheelchairs.

I'd like to think this happened, but I'm cynical enough to think it didn't. The comments seem to be a mixed bag of "totally STDH" and "yeah, it probably could have." The rest of the story unfolds here.

YA BOY ETHAN COUCH posted:Speaking from experience, it's easy to determine if a person or group of people are poo poo tippers or not, and crazy enough you don't have to use stereotypes to figure it out I'm curious how, not because I'm a server anymore but because I sometimes wonder what servers think about us when my wife and I sit down at a restaurant. Even when a server does a bad job, we give them at least 10% but usually 15% and our norm is 20% or more. Is there a certain way people act or something that lets a server make a quick judgment on who is going to tip well and who isn't?

Easily determining what a person or group might do is stereotyping, isn't it? Not necessarily the unjustifiable or hateful kind, but still.

I think he means less basing it on rich, poor, or ethnicity but that you have a fair idea after a minute or so of chatter how likely you are to get a tip. You're right that it's still stereotyping to a degree but it's quite different.

Dressed well for Sunday lunch? The tip will be a pamphlet letting me know that money doesn't matter when all I need is Jesus. Well tell Jesus to pay my rent. Now that I'm long past waiting tables I always tip well.

And yes, I know internal decapitation (or atlanto-occipital dislocation if you want to use high falutin' doctor talk) is a thing, but the whole point is that your head doesn't actually sever from your body, much less land on the seat next to you and get sewn back on.
