Yeah. After I read it for the first time some years ago I would have nightmares about it and it severely heightened my fear of busses. I haven''t been on a bus for 2 years now. I think it triggered something and made my social anxiety even worse. I'm actually kind of sorry that I remembered it and posted it in here. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/08/08/europe/london-jogger-bus/index.html An rear end in a top hat jogger pushed a woman in front of a bus (she's okay thanks to a busdriver with some amazing reflexes) instead of moving slightly to the side. Seriously, he straight up pushes her on to the heavily trafficked road despite having plenty of space to avoid her. Bonus creepiness. The comment section is full of idiots who think that the evil feeeemale tried to kick this poor, self preserving hero! CNN had a surprisingly good article on the one video/incident that's influenced police officer training across the US and how it can lead to a situation where an innocent, unarmed person is shot. It's a really hosed up situation. http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2017/politics/state/kyle-dinkheller-police-video/ quote:If you want to know why cops shoot people, you can find one of many answers in those three minutes on Whipples Crossing Road. There, on January 12, 1998, Deputy Kyle Dinkheller of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office made the final traffic stop of his brief career.

We tend to forget that the police see people at their worst, worse than hopefully most of us ever see, literally every single day. It doesn't exuse randomly murdering people but their perception of the world is different from ours.

This sounds pretty hosed up. Talented engineer designs and builds miniature submarines. He goes out to sea with a woman, sub sinks with her in it. Now's he's being brought in accused of murder. No details about exactly what happened that I can find. If it's true that he killed her I can't imagine how terrifying that situation would be. Trapped in a cramped metal tube with no means of escape. If that poor lady wasn't killed outright, she would have been trapped in a sinking submarine to drown. Pretty drat awful way to go no matter what. Since he was taken into custody almost immediately after the sub sank there was probably some crazy circumstances they aren't talking about yet. I'm thinking that there'll be a pretty hosed up story about this in the future. https://www.google.com/amp/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSKBN1AR15S
