Yeah. Booper became the new leader of the gang. He showed up to see if the new leader wanted some money, so no one else gets their face punched in.

So glad they've released this stuff, some tremendous ambient/drone/sound design stuff in this season. Hoping Vol 2 comes out before too long, missing a few pieces that I loved in the show so far!

But how do we get Dougie Coop there? Likely next two episodes will have Chantal & Hutch arriving in LV to try and kill him

They're off to Vegas to kill two people, but Dougie isn't one of them (yet) - the hit on him is still supposed to be taken care of by Mr. Todd.

So who are they after? 'Double header' kind of suggests that it'll be two people who'll likely be in the same place. Mitchums? The bent cops? Not sure they're really on EvilCoop's radar, at least I can't remember any indication that he had a problem with either pair. Dougie's family? Probably not, might as well just have Todd take care of all three.

Probably Duncan Todd and his assistant, eliminating them as possible loose ends able to be traced. Or maybe Tony and Bushnell.

Bad Coop's "Better be done next time I call" means that he's going to check in with Todd one more time, probably just before Hutch and Chantal arrive in Vegas. If Good Coop is dead by then, they get called off. If not, Hutch and Chantal do their thing.

WHAT CAN THE HARVEST HOPE FOR, IF NOT FOR THE CARE OF THE REAPER MAN?
I've been consistently amazed by Kyle MacLachlan's acting in every episode. Booper and Dougie are so distinct it's almost as if it's different actors at times.

And to top it all off we're seeing the smallest hints of Cooper sneaking through. When Dougie was enjoying his coffee and pie in the last episode we got just a moment of Dale's unrestrained bliss at such a drat fine meal. It's phenomenal acting that's grown in such subtle ways in every episode so far.

Yeah it's kind of telling that no one has suggested this is the reason that Mr. C isn't the one trying to kill Dougie himself- the logistical challenge involved with with having Kyle MacLachlan playing both parts.

Not that the original series didn't do things like that though I guess.

It seems that's the worst case scenario for Booper, since the lodges seem to be favoring Coop, and good should triumph over evil like Briggs posits.

I SHOULD KEEP MY DUMB MOUTH SHUT INSTEAD OF SPEWING HORSESHIT ABOUT THE ORBITAL MECHANICS OF THE JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT A LAGRANGE POINT IS?
The guy playing Duncan Todd was a mob boss and one of the main antagonists in LA Noire. He was so goofy and bad in what was supposed to be a serious role (it didn't help that they put him in a trench coat that looked three sizes too large) that I just have a hard time taking him seriously on this show. Of course, he was also very goofy as a good guy in Once Upon a Time but that role was supposed to be goofy.

And that exposition dump where he explains his hatred of the Super Mitchio Brothers to Anthony could have been handled better. Anthony probably already knew that, so I'm sure there's a better way it could have been explained to the viewers.

I'll admit that when I heard James play the opening notes of Just You and I in this episode, I started fist pumping and yelled, "YES YES YES!!!" I may also have started singing along. The background singers were no Donna and Maddy, though. :(

I'm sad that Norma and Big Ed aren't together. That, to me, is MUCH worse than Bobby and Shelly not being together, which is pretty sad itself. I wish the show had ended in the roadhouse like it normally does. Ending the episode with Ed just sitting there depressed was the most depressing thing the show has ever done. He deserves to be happy, dammit. :(

Since we're fawning over Danzig/Dougie, I just want to add how much I LOVE that Danzig constantly has a layer of grim on him. It was especially noticable during the arm wrestling with his hands. That griminess on his hands just adds more inhumaneness while he's demonstrating his supernatural strength and behavior.

I was listening to Peaked Podcast addendum, and I want full-episode Danzig/Dougie storylines more than this format. It would be more satisfying maybe? If Season 3 had been half Dougie, half Cooper and all Danzig, I would have really enjoyed that more.

I think this has been mentioned once or twice but I love the specific timing of the end credits every single time. When "Starring Kyle Machlachlan" comes up it's always so evocative and slightly melancholy and it accents the underlying scenes so well.

This is one of the only series I've seen where even the smallest element contributes to the whole. I know there have been some complaints about the pacing but to me the whole thing just breathes.

I'm liking the theory that Audrey's still in a coma and that her "husband" is something in her head that's locking away her memories, but that brings up a few questions that are probably really stupid:

Would that still make it possible for her to be Richard's mother? How does the body's biology change when you're in a coma? Can a woman be impregnated while in a coma? Would she actually be able to gestate and give birth? And why, in her own head, would she envision herself as a middle aged woman? She can look at her envisioned body and see that it's aged. Wouldn't she envision herself as a teenager since that's the last time she saw herself?

The Sarah Palmer scenes are so unnerving. Sarah is scary enough on her own, but the house itself is the scariest part. So many hosed up things happened there that it gives you this creepy feeling that the house has become a monsterous entity of suffering.

Yes, it has happened a few times in documented medical history (relatively recently, too!). So uh on the 'bright side' maybe she doesn't know she has a horrible bastard for a son? :smith:
