The demonetization most likely had little to do with advertiser pressure on specific videos and more to do with Google's new broader policies to stem hate on their platforms. But there's validity in your point - Advertisers desperately want that 15-35 male demo they're not reaching on TV anymore, problem is the platform where that demo tends to hang out is filled with Pepes. The last thing a major corporation wants is a nazi scandal.
