There are no electronics of any kind in the key fob. You actually have to insert the key into the door lock to unlock the door and insert it into the ignition switch to start the car.

High five. Mine is the same except the Hyundai Accent 07. Just scheduled maintenance and some tires is all I've spent, 135k miles. Manual windows.
