They are, yes. But it's really not an alliance game and every year we roll our eyes as teams try to group up. You DO see rear end in a top hat teams get u-turned for non-gameplay reasons though, I remember that happening last season.

Jason just volunteered to go up to protect Paul, lmao.

Kevin's gonna face some heat this week, he might end up lower on the totem pole than Matt and Raven by the DE. When the game's 9 against 2 you really have to do literally nothing, not just very little.

The sounds were the comp and apparently they had to remember where they were when they heard the noises? That's random.

Josh: I don't know why its so satisfying to see you cut those potatoes.
Christmas: Because you want to murder someone and its so close to cutting flesh.
Matt: Wow, Christmas.

Kevin gaming hard again. Telling Mark to not trust people. Telling Paul he should go up. Vaguely pushing Maven as targets over Marlena. Jason and Paul telling him to calm down.

Alex tells Jason that she wants to put Elena and Paul up. Jason seems to be trying to argue himself onto the block to play in POV. Alex saying that it might look "fairer" to Matt and Elena. Paul joins. Paul trying to manipulate Jason to go up without volunteering himself. Alex tells them to figure it out and leaves. Paul says Kevin is acting nervous and sketchy. Jason says he's paranoid and thinks people aren't talking to him. Nothing resolved.

Cody tells Kevin he thought he had it but "even a broken clock is right twice a day." Kevin thought Cody was a shoein since he always stayed in the same room.

Paul, Alex, Jason, and Kevin. Paul saying Elena would feel more comfortable with Jason next to her. Jason accepts this whole sale and there's no pushback. I guess Jason's going up. This is dumb. Elena joins and they say she might go up as a pawn with one of them. Elena asks if she can use POV to take her down and they say that's the point. Elena says she scared she could get voted out if Cody gets picked for POV and wins. Mark tries to join and Alex sends him away, she tells Elena she just doesn't want too big a crowd. Paul talking big about how he wants to win POV and be the one to do Cody in. But you know, don't nominate him.

Matt and Josh discussing the comp. Sounds like Cody tried to throw and put Have Not room every time but forgot that one time he was yelling at Josh in there.

Kevin and Christmas talking and pretty much implying that Matt is the worst case target. Christmas saying Raven's pissed he threw it and is on the block and she'll be a nightmare if they do it.

Elena tells Mark she and Jason are going up. Mark asks why Paul isn't going up. Elena saying she wants to be taken off the block with POV and not Jason. You're not really in a position for demands, Elena.

Kevin telling Elena she's "fine" and "fine." Asks her just not to say anything he says to anyone and he'll watch her back. He's basically doing his Jessica thing with Elena now.

Paul tells Kevin to chill out and people are getting upset. Kevin asks who and Paul throws Alex and Jason under the bus. Kevin annoyed and saying he takes care of "that motherfucker" Jason. Jason joins and Paul says "we have to chill."

Elena realizes that if Cody wins POV he could take her off. Mark tells her not to say that out loud. Elena jokes about picking Cody and asks Mark if he'd do it. Mark says 100% because he doesn't have anyone. Mark says he rather have Cody play than him because if she picks Mark it will be obvious they're still together (the gently caress?). Neither seems to consider how it will look if Elena picks Cody. Elena says she gets more air time. I barely remember her being on TV last week. They both say they miss Jessica (really? For the 30 minutes a day she wasn't alone with Cody?).

Cody comes to the kitchen to eat some of the food the house is preparing and doesn't speak to anyone.

Christmas tells Josh to chill. He's in jury and not on the block this week so let the week play out.

Paul asks Elena if she wants to pick him or Mark to play. Elena "jokes" that she'll pick Cody. Paul laughs. Now Josh is here to low key torture Mark about flirting with Elena while Mark absurdly claims he's not with her anymore. This has gotten annoying. Mark yelling at Josh "friendly" like again. And Josh says "Marlena" and Mark and Elena act indignant that such a thing never existed.

Alex: Oh, this again...

She's salty about Kevin saying he's taking all her HOH stuff and being bossy but isn't contributing anything. She says he expects to be carried and have a voice. Alex says she thinks Elena might pick Cody for POV. They get real whispery but it sounds like they're saying Matt is the backup backup target but they don't super love it as most don't Plan Ds. Christmas says that Raven was pushing for Josh to throw the Safety Comp during it. That matches what Matt and Josh were saying. Some bitching about her behavior. Christmas asks if she ever annoys people as much as Raven does to please tell her so she can sit in a corner. Jason says nothing. Jason seems nervous about going up and saying Alex can't vote. Christmas says they have her vote. Jason's probably still nervous about that.

Paul tells Alex that Kevin is saying "Jason and Alex have each other but won't tell me anything." Alex says the Cody stuff were "super red flags." Paul says she's gotta put him in check.

Mark tells Christmas to "go gently caress yourself" under his breath for no apparent reason. She was asking him something like what he wanted for dinner.

Elena asks Cody if he'd use the POV on her if he won. Cody isn't sure about the POV rules but after Elena explains he'd be safe he says absolutely. Cody says he wasn't sure about a couple of them so he decided to throw them all. Cody suggests that even if she's on the block with Elena they might still vote her out because he doesn't have anyone. That's nonsense but playing to Elena's paranoia is the key. Cody tells Elena about the deal Kevin was pushing last week to go after Marlena and Maven. Cody claiming "that side" has been the most disloyal to him now. Cody rants about Paul in his high squeaky rant voice. Elena "jokes" about picking Cody for POV but says regardless of what happened she'd be hosed.

JodyCam has now been replaced by CodyCam which is largely him burping, spitting, scratching himself, and shaking his head in disgust. Its like watching the monkey cage.

Elena telling Paul she feels disposable and Paul assures her she's not.

These people seem convinced with their sketchy nominations and Marlena seem unsure about whether they want to openly declare war by picking Cody. So doesn't seem like anything's really going to happen until tomorrow unless Elena freaks out or something.

Mark and Christmas just went at it when Mark called out Christmas for whispering to Alex about Mark and Cody talking in the ASPR.

It was a lot of circular back and forth about their general issues with each other. The gist of it was Mark saying Christmas has been throwing his name around while Christmas saying he's been acting sketchy all season and throwing her name around. Mark plays up his whole "I'm just friends with Cody" stuff. Christmas gets condescending, Mark gets loud, Christmas calls him a bully. Mark says he's never liked the way Christmas asks questions. Christmas says she's direct and doesn't fluff people. Mark denies throwing Christmas' name around and asks her to name an example. Christmas brings up Week 1 and asks him which story he'll tell her this time about why he voted to keep her.

Mark: I voted for personal reasons. I was an idiot. I should have voted your rear end out in Week 1.
Christmas: You wouldn't have had the votes.
Mark: That's what you think.
Christmas: Be thankful you have Safety this week, sweetie.

Christmas calls out Mark working with Cody and Mark denies it like usual. Christmas calls out Cody to confirm it but says "Oh wait, he doesn't want to do that because you guys are bros again." Christmas brings up Cody telling her Mark went to him about putting her on the block. Mark doesn't exactly deny it? But does? Its unclear, he's clearly flustered at this point. Both of them are really. Its all very messy.

Mark calls out Christmas as one of the hinky votes in Week 2 and she denies it. Lots and back and forth accusations and nonsense about that. Mark claims Christmas was throwing Dom's name around but Dom was always loyal, Christmas points out that Dom was throwing her name around. Josh jumps in and calls Mark out on flip flopping every week, shunning Dom but then saying he won't shun Cody, and saying he didn't speak to Josh for a week and then the second the house voted to keep him he started making nice with him. Mark keeps trying to talk about pots and pans and hot sauce and Josh and Christmas keep trying to bring it back to Mark flipping in the game to always be with the numbers.

Josh eventually goes to get Cody to try and ask him to back Mark up on things but Cody says with Jessica gone his game is over. Kevin tries to pull him in but the same.

Paul asks Mark if he knew he was getting backdoored Week 1. Mark says no. Christmas says she heard something completely different (from Cody). Mark asks why he would have flipped sides then. Christmas says because Paul had Safety and the house chose to keep her. Mark trying to act like he was the swing vote and Christmas saying he just went with the numbers. Paul ends up going to Cody and asking if he was lying when he told him that Mark knew. Cody says Mark knew but tries to cover saying Cody "withdrew" the idea and Mark was loyal to him after that.

After the fight dies down Paul tells Christmas that Cody confirmed Mark was lying (I think Cody's lying but at this stage I don't think anyone even knows the truth). Then he tells Mark that Cody sold him out. Mark denies it again and Paul claims he believes him.

Like 10 minutes after Christmas goes to Mark to have a calm makeup and Mark says they can talk when his nerves settle. As you can imagine both are walking around the house spinning to everyone that the other one is the problem.

Now Cody's just telling Kevin how much America loves Jessica and how anyone who ever disrespected her or berated her will suffer.

Elena kind of going all in on "Christmas is Crazy" in the post fight backlash while everyone else is pretty non-committal. My guess is people are just going to see this as more proof Elena is working with Mark and Cody (which of course she is). Everyone already knew Mark was sketchy as gently caress and a liar about all this stuff and everyone knows Christmas is kind of a crazy hair trigger.

Matt fills Raven in on the fight because she was in sleeping or something. "And of course Josh jumped in." Matt says Mark called out Christmas' hinky vote and then Christmas and Josh just laid out every sketchy thing Mark's done.

Raven: That's good for us.
Matt: That's great for us! Every week someone does something stupid! Mark wins HOH we're good! Christmas wins HOH we're good!

They may be floaters but at least they get what a floater is and why you do it.

Alex tries to assure Elena to stay calm and not panic if Cody gets picked for POV. She also tells Mark that he might have to be a Have Not because everyone else is pulling their weight (Matt throwing the comp, Jason and Elena going up as pawns). So its Cody, Josh, Paul and one of Mark or Kevin.

Noms up. No drama. Presume its Jason/Elena/Matt.

Maven bring up the idea of Cody using POV on Elena to Paul. Paul tells them not worry. Raven says if that happens they just put up Christmas. Paul nods in the affirmative and moves on.

Mark doing damage control with Alex about his Christmas Fight which basically amounts to "I'm just friends with Cody and Christmas is bringing up old stuff!" Alex basically gives Mark no sympathy and says "yeah, that's why I didn't put you on the block in Week 3 because you sketchy." Alex advising Mark that he's still sketching people out and he sketched people out the last couple of weeks and he needs to get that straight if he wants people to get past it. Mark does not get the sympathy he wants from this conversation and complains that his name gets dragged through the mud. Alex compares to how half the people she's working with now wanted her out in Week 1 but she just got past that, they all made peace with it, got to know each other, and can work together. Mark says he can't repair his relationships with Christmas and Josh. Alex expressed the confusion on what the gently caress Mark and Josh's relationship is.

AMF (Paul and Alex) Talk. Lots of bad news for Kevin. They're really sketched out about his behavior, attitude, unwillingness to be a pawn or win a comp, shady game stuff with Cody, etc, etc. They noticed that he told Christmas she was part of the Cody deal but that's not what he told them, so either he lied to her or them. Lots of talk about putting him up sooner than later maybe as early as next week. Paul thinks they have to separate him and Christmas. Alex thinks Christmas has a "dad/male" need for Kevin after going through stuff and Paul says he'll fill that role. Paul's expecting a DE and is thinking Matt/Elena but Alex argues they should keep it simple with Mark/Elena. Paul says Maven are good with them as long as they feed their egos about being so valuable and playing great games. They think Jason's getting better at the game and they LOVE Josh for their F4. They're not sure beyond that. Alex wants to get Christmas past Mark, Elena, Matt, and Raven but its a matter of how she explodes at people. Paul says Christmas and Josh took down Mark. Alex says Mark is scared and they can use him for a little while. Alex says Elena's being a brat demanding she gets taken down with POV. Some uncertainty about whether to target Elena or Matt if Cody is safe. Paul thinks he can get Raven if Matt goes.

Christmas and Mark have a sit down. Christmas says they both got wrapped up in the heat of a misunderstanding. She says she was never intending to talk behind his back, she just didn't get a chance to talk to him before Alex and she knows Alex and Mark are close so she knew it wasn't getting back to her. Mark admits he went to Cody about his problems with her and that when Cody put her up he was a "ride and die and Christmas has to go." I THINK Mark is trying. He says he handled everything wrong with her injury and trying to get her gone but then insists he never wanted it to happen. Its the same circles for weeks. Mark finally comes clean that he was campaigning to get Christmas gone (which he denied downstairs). He kind of half admits he DID go with the numbers, but it was also personal. Its lots of emo go around about personal relationships and game. Christmas saying she liked Jessica and she thinks if she had just taken a step back and given a little she could have negotiated her and Cody into Jury. Mark saying how he felt bad about shunning Cody and Dom. A funny moment happens when he says Dom threw Paul and Elena under the bus, Christmas points out she threw her name out too, and Mark kind of dismisses that as an afterthought. Mark claiming he had no idea Dom ever had anything against Elena, which is funny since he and Dom were always talking about Elena. Christmas says she wasn't even in the hospital when all that was happening and Dom just jumped on her and got mad at her for not being immediately caught up. Christmas asks why their relationship basically ended after Week 1. Mark says he withdrew from everyone and just "got caught up with" Elena. Christmas says she was probably "fueled" today by her thinking he wasn't playing game with him. Mark claims he doesn't really talk game to people. Mark says he was "fueled" by all the talks last week about him not using POV. Mark says he doesn't mind of people call him out in game but not personal and "this flip flopping stuff..." Christmas says she has a tough time with personal/game and brings up that she feels bad for Cody despite all the game. They agree to communicate better. Mark says Christmas isn't his target and never was (lie!). Christmas says if Mark was her target she wouldn't have used her Ring (lie!). Mark complains about Josh. Christmas says she's antsy about being a target after Cody goes. Mark thanks her for talking. Christmas thanks him for confronting her in the first place instead of just talking behind her back. Mark says he probably would have reacted that way to anyone who he had seen whispering but he gets heated and takes a lap. Christmas says she's the same way and her pride was rankled when he walked away from her. They commiserate over Dom imploding and how they could have fixed things and got rid of Jess that week. Christmas says she's "brutally honest" and it backfires on her and comes off as hostile. Mark agrees. Mark says he was hurt to see how Christmas "treated" Dom but he wasn't seeing it from Christmas' side and jumped to conclusions. Mark saying he avoids complicated relationship stuff hoping they'll go away and they don't in this house. They bond a little over their shared frustration over Hurricane Jessica. Christmas, "She was lying and didn't even know she was lying." Mark, "She can convince herself and everyone else."

Mark: You can get personal feelings for them, but the gameplay is awful.
Christmas: Leaving Ramses up there was so bad!

This is basically just a marathon of feelings and grievances and confessions. I forgot about these Mark/Christmas conversations. It ends with a hug and a false promise to do better going forward, naturally.

Paul tells Christmas that he hasn't told anyone about her vote. He says the "stir the pot" reference Mark brought up in the fight was a think Dom brought up to him (it was Alex). Christmas says Paul was the only person she told and she's not coming clean on it. Paul claims he heard Mark call her a "loving bitch." He says she "grilled the rear end in a top hat." She says she let him "grovel" and got information. Paul loves that Josh jumped in and made good points. Paul says he wants to keep Christmas and Josh to the end with him and they've been the two who have never gone behind his back. Christmas says Josh has had her back since Week 1 and she "nursed that boy from self eviction." Paul says Kevin's being sketchy and there's something weird going on. He hints at the Cody deal being sketchy without explicitly saying that he lied about Christmas being in it. Paul says Cody confirmed that Mark was lying about the backdoor. Christmas says Cody could be lying but Paul says he has no real reason to at this stage and all the evidence adds up (Cody is lying but Paul's right, it makes total sense that its true). Christmas knows Elena was throwing shade at her after the fight (Maven probably told her, its dumb Elena talked poo poo about Christmas to them). Paul says he wants Mark out over Elena, Christmas wants Elena out first.

Cody is staying sane by reorganizing the kitchen. He's actually SLOWLY socially integrating. Like, he's talking to people in passing and poo poo. I think he even handed something to Josh.

Alex, Paul, and Jason in HOH. Jason wanted a more aggressive nomination speech but Alex explains jury management to Jason. Paul says Kevin is being shady and he calmed Christmas down. They talk about Kevin being weird about his wife and saying strange things like asking Jason if he can stay with him if he's not married anymore or asking Jason if he'd sleep with Christmas in Jury since there'd be no cameras. Matt joins and they talk about Christmas and Josh calling out Mark on his poo poo. Paul says Cody's gotta go next week but Mark is dangerous with comp wins and calling people out. He wants to get him out before he wins HOH and takes a shot. They all basically agree Elena is more dependent on them than Mark. Raven shows up and Paul bails so its not a sketchy group meeting. And because he doesn't really tell Matt and Raven anything real.

Christmas and Josh debrief about their fight with Mark. Josh says Jason said he got too aggressive. Christmas says Jason wasn't even really there. Josh says Jason is protecting Mark and its going to burn him. Christmas tells Josh that Paul said he wants to go deep with them. They blow themselves a little about taking it to Mark. Josh says Elena has been doing damage control for him.

An emotional Kevin asks Jason if BB will let him call his family. Jason says he thinks about his family a lot and thinks of Kevin because he has the same thing and they can tell when he's bothered by things outside the house. Kevin wants to go to DR and tell them say hi to his family. Jason tells him to go in and just start talking to his family to the camera without asking permission. Jason says he's done it and it feels great. Kevin kind of wanders around the house after that seeming depressed.

Paul, Josh, and Mark talking about Cody going a little crazy and hoping he'll adjust. Mark picks a fight with Josh saying he's mad that he brought up Mark shunning Dom again but not Cody. He says Dom threw Elena under the bus which is why he shunned her, Cody didn't do that (I mean, he kinda did). Josh doesn't bite and just says "ok." Mark says everyone ganged up on Cody and Josh says no one did that but he got aggressive. Paul says Cody's actions made the house turn on him. Josh says he's made personal and game decisions that have gotten him here. Josh says he'd like to have a talk to Cody and resolve some of their problems. Paul says he can try in Jury or post show but clearly Cody isn't open to that right now. Now Paul's just doing his Vet Coaching about life after BB again.

Paul: Do not read the internet. Do not read blogs. Do not look up things about you.
Well, he's right about that.

Kevin: I think everyone's losing their minds in here.
Cody: I'm pretty sure everyone here's psychotic.

Paul asks Jason why Kevin's acting weird and Jason says he told him to watch it about talking over people and annoying them and Kevin broke down about his family. Jason thinks he's just homesick and stressed and worried about his family and sick of being around kids ordering him around.

Paul gets it in his mind that he should fix it and storms down to pull Paul into a room and gives him a whole arrogant pep talk like he's the one twice the age of Kevin. Kevin admits he's worried about his family and frustrated of kids telling him what to do and their petty nonsense. Paul talks a lot about being a veteran and the difficulties and stresses and letting it out and sharing and etc. And he talks and talks and talks and the one thing he doesn't do is actually listen. Kevin says very little and Paul doesn't really do anything to coax him to talk. He's too proud about his pep talk.

Now Paul doing a victory lap about what great work he's done (while Kevin went into the bathroom stall to cry) and how he's helping everyone today. Then he gets it in his mind that he wants to talk to Cody and fix his problems. Alex, Josh, and Christmas all say they want Cody to come out of his shell and quit isolating himself because it isn't healthy. They think he might be trying and Christmas says he ate some of her food.

Now Paul doing his humanitarian thing to Mark. He's like visibly high on his self importance and doing a tour to fix people. Mark eats it up and expresses all his frustrations about Christmas' paranoia and craziness and meanness.

Then he goes to Cody and gives him a rousing "you don't have to be alone, you can talk to me, I can turn the game off" speech.

Cody: Cool. Appreciate it.

Paul then does his victory tour about his very successful pep talk to Cody. Cody doesn't come out of his hole. 2 more weeks of winter.

Mark complaining to Jason, Alex, and Elena about the Christmas/Josh fight and Josh claiming he had talked about what a great competitor Jason has. Mark going on and on about how he'd never do that and it made him so mad. He totally has. Jason placates and nods along (and he really wants to like Mark) but its pretty clear he's not super interested in this. Neither is Alex. Elena saying she's confused by why that fight got started and does her push on it. Alex pushes it away and talks about how Jess and Cody lied to her. Mark gets defensive and asks (aggressively) when Cody lied to her and Alex said he promised not to put her on the block. Elena tries to steer it back to Christmas but no one is biting. Elena gives up and says Cody just needs to not get picked tomorrow. Then Alex digs up some of Jessica's greatest hits against her. They talk about twists and if there will be Care Packages. Elena doesn't know what there was in them.

Mark: All I know is a Co HOH and a Diamond Power of Veto. Or was that the year before?

Mark's terrible BB memory highly amuses me.

Josh and Christmas discussing today's crazy. Josh says Marlena are working Alex and Jason and Mark has Jason. Josh says he can see it in his eyes (he is mostly right). Christmas says she doesn't feel comfortable with Jason because he doesn't look her in the eye and he's already told her that's what he does when he lies. They both say its obvious Marlena are still together (its really crazy they're saying they aren't). Josh calls Mark a douchebag.

Paul has one of his hipster conversations about hookahs and stuff. Alex talks about cigarette packages in Bali that have autopsied lung cancer patients on the package. Alex talks about how they have clove cigarettes instead of tobacco and they give you a weird head rush. Paul doesn't know what that is and I'm shocked because like every trendy kid in high school had cloves and every non nerd smoked at least one. Then I look it up and it turns out the US outlawed them in 2009? So all these kids probably never have smoked cloves in the US growing up. I'm kind of sinking in hate and despair today but FYI the POV is underway and Mark and Paul were chosen to play. That should probably cement Cody's fate. If Mark wins he either plays it to pull down Elena and Cody goes up or he doesn't play it to save Cody and Elena goes home. I suppose that second option isn't impossible but its highly unlikely and it would destroy Mark in the house and TV show as one of the biggest villains in BB history.

Mark might love Cody more than Elena but Elena gave him some booty this week, so it should seal Cody's fate.

Paul is shackled to Christmas.
Jason has a unitard.
Elena has $5K.
Alex got an Outback dinner but has to cook?
Mark got a vacation.

Sounds like Elena won the comp but took the $5K away from Alex instead of the POV. Apparently she asked Alex during the comp not to curse her and then Elena cursed Alex? Lots of anger and desire to get Elena out but people like Josh and Paul trying to stay them on course with getting Cody out this week and just target Elena next. Christmas debating the pros and cons. I think Alex calls Elena a oval office. Alex salty about Elena saying she needs money when she lives off her parents. Josh calling Elena selfish and greedy.

Alex: That made me feel better.

Mark complaining about Christmas to Matt, Raven, and Elena. Saying he wants her to go home. Mark doesn't get the house dynamics at all. Elena whining about whether she should have taken the POV or the money. Matt pointing out that she's essentially saying "I don't trust you."

Kevin: These people know the game better than me. I don't even know what's happening.
Cody: At the end there's two people and they vote...
Kevin: I know.

Cody ranting to Elena something about what a piece of poo poo Matt is and how she kicked Alex in the balls and celebrating this for some reason for sticking it to the people and double standards and blah blah blah. For a guy who loves ancient war stuff I don't think Cody understands what a Pyrrhic victory is.

Elena telling Paul she did what anyone would do but feels bad for Alex. Paul says to just let it rest for awhile and it will be fine.

Josh tells Paul and Elena he's alarmed about Matt taking the POV. Paul says its fine and Matt said he'd use it on Jason. Paul and Jason not happy about Elena and are ready to send her home next week. Paul saying there's something going on between Kevin and Cody. Earlier in the day I guess Cody told Kevin about his kid and then Kevin told Paul and said "I'm only telling you" but then told Jason and said the same thing? Kevin's a bad player too.

Yeah, Elena won the comp and passed on the POV for the money. She's telling Kevin that now she won't be taken off the block (duh). Kevin assuring her she's not going home this week. Elena complaining about being a pawn and calls herself the most disposable person in the house. Kevin can't really disagree.

Elena telling Mark Alex would have done it to her. Mark saying they just should have communicated better and Elena should have taken his prize. Elena figures now she'll go home on DE because people figure she has money (also, because you've played a bad game). Mark thinks Jason and Alex have their back. Elena vehemently disagrees. Elena says she approached Raven about a showmance deal. Mark says he approached them for them and Paul. Elena says Paul's working with Jason and Alex. Elena feels ok if Maven win HOH (dumb). Mark complains about Christmas and Josh some. Mark saying he needs to get Josh out and Elena trying to point out why that's dumb. Mark says things are pathetic. Elena suggests going rogue and targeting Alex/Paul. Mark doesn't think Paul will "throw them under the bus" but Elena says he won't protect them. Mark says he had a plan to win POV, leave the noms the same, and try and get Paul and Kevin to vote Matt out. Elena thinks that would have been disastrous and is very right. Elena says she feels bad for breaking her deal with Alex but "she played herself." Elena doesn't understand why people are "afraid to communicate" to her and says she's "not that terrifying." Mark says she's intimidating but everyone's a bad gameplayer besides Paul. "If you took Paul out of this house this season would be a joke." Mark thinks they'd coast if he wasn't there. Then he says he needs Josh out again. Mark hates all the "floaters" and thinks Cody is a strong player. Mark again whines that he wanted a "Five Horsemen" alpha male alliance. Now they just whine about people being pathetic and why its everyone else's fault if they're mad at Elena. MarlenaCam is a sad copy of JodyCam.

Elena: I didn't need Jessica and Cody to tell me poo poo [about Paul]. I've got loving eyeballs. I'm probably the most observant person in this house.

Not quite related: I never noticed how big Alex's tits are.

For real. She's a small lady, and she's gallivanting around in her bra tonight. I don't like girls, but she's got some serious chest action and almost makes me wish I did.

That's the plan. He seems content with it. On paper its sketchy but like there's no way in hell Matt goes home sitting next to Cody and Elena. Its one of those situations where staying on the block is probably the smartest move because if he used it to take himself down he'd piss a lot of people off.

But of course everything in BB is a gamble.

In pervy commentary Alex is a very attractive lady but also Raven's added some weight in the house and its like all in two (three) areas.

If I was him I would actually do this as well. It's the exception that proves the rule (don't be Marcellus).

So Matt winning is worse case scenario right? He pulls himself off and they can't put Cody up. Are they trying to convince him to take down Elena or Jason?

Nah, that would have been Cody winning and taking Elena down.

Raven goes up and goes home and nobody gives a gently caress about the wasted week. Maybe Matt.

No real convincing necessary. Matt was on board with the plan from the get go and doesn't seem that bothered by following through.

Matt's all about being safe with the majority and he recognizes that in this case that means taking one for the team and showing he's a team player and trusts them all by staying on the block and getting Cody up there. Jason's 99% coming down.

Matt would have probably been the victim in that case. Christmas, Alex, Josh, Jason, and Kevin were already discussing it as the worst case scenario. And Paul thinks he can control Raven when Matt goes.

Marcellus didn't use it at all.

Dick used it on Danielle, didn't he? I want to say some showmance did it too.

It might be the first time someone used it on someone else on the block for purely game reasons and not a personal relationship.

Elena asks Matt what he thinks will happen after Cody leaves. Matt playing dumb and Elena being coy about "observations." She asks how Matt thinks he stands in the house and Matt says he doesn't think anyone "dislikes" him. Elena says Alex doesn't like her and she's disposable because she's been a pawn two weeks in a row. Matt plays dumb about knowing how decisions have been made. Elena saying she made a deal with Alex to be a pawn and the POV would be used for her. Elena says things will be different when Cody leaves. Matt says in a good way. Matt's very casual about the whole concept of the game of Big Brother and going up and just thinks things will work out. Matt admits his goal was to make Jury and he's pretty good with having met that and doesn't "care that much" about the rest (obviously he's lying a fair bit to Elena because he actually thinks he's got an inside track on F5). Elena says her concern is air time so she's ok being on the block to get more TV time. Elena complains about not having a job and needing money. Says the only person she wouldn't have taken money from is Raven. Matt asks what her game strategy is, Elena says no one has talked game with her in 4 weeks. Matt says they've all had the same goal. This attempt by Elena to make something happen with Matt ends with a dud.

Mark telling Jason how much he needs to get Josh out of the house. Jason complains about Christmas being a "loving bitch" to him. Mark wants to win and show Alex and Jason his loyalty.

Matt tells Raven about his Elena talk and how they're super safe going into next week. Matt saying he likes Elena but she made her bed with her gameplay. He thinks things are going to get crazy next week and a lot of people are going to come to them because they're so trusted. Matt saying that they have an advantage because everyone else is a pair but they have Paul as a 3rd.

Josh jokes that Mark used up his Irish Spring so Mark snaps.
Mark: I just took a little of it! Why do you do that?!
Josh: I'm just messing with you. Relax. You're too sensitive.
Mark: Why do you always tell me I'm sensitive?! Like you're not sensitive?!
Josh: I'm sensitive too! Relax.

Cody's still chilling in HOH and Alex does a little complaining about Elena giving her a punishment. That will get back to Elena but it doesn't seem like much a secret and Alex would probably relish calling out Elena for breaking their deal.

They're talking about Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Cody is laughing and full of life and having so much fun with Paul and Alex. Its so different. Like, its becoming readily apparent that Cody and Jessica destroyed each other's games by being so totally self absorbed with each other. Seriously, Cody's just having a grand ole' time with every one he hates right now.

I wouldn't go that far. Cody is still calling them all pieces of poo poo to Elena and Mark. Jessica was able to be civil and socialize the week he was gone too. The problem was that they were so self involved with each other and they just kept reinforcing each other's sense of superiority. Without that mirror to tell each other they're perfect and everything they do is right and everyone else is completely terrible they can only keep at it for so long before they just have to suck it up and socialize to fight the loneliness.

It feels weird to say, because I do think he's probably sociopathic, but I always got better, more genuine vibes from Cody. I wouldn't hold shittalking to Marlena against him; as far as he knows they're his only most solid numbers, and he and Jess have been crapping on the rest of the house to them for ages. It would be weird if he didn't keep that up.

Cody's a piece of poo poo but like, he's his own piece of poo poo. His world doesn't really extend beyond his reach and he doesn't much care about anything beyond that. He hates people because he believes they directly hurt him, or wronged Jessica. Beyond that he's kind of like "I don't care if people love or hate me." He can make piece with things.

Jess holds grudges and is way more of a "mean girl" type who wants to be the center of attention and much of her hate came from people not catering to her, gamewise or personal. You flatter Jessica a little and she'll eat it up. Its why she somehow thought Christmas was her ally and did a 180 on Matt when he wouldn't use the dirt he had on Cody with her. Cody didn't care about that stuff. His was very black and white "they're disloyal pieces of poo poo." But Jessica would ebb and flow based on how people were treating her at any given time.

Jason's thing is a voice comes over and narrates him and says things like "JASON'S GOING TO THE BATHROOM!" or "JASON'S MAKING COFFEE!" or "JASON IS SITTING DOWN!" and Jason adds "I'M SO EXTREME!" Its going to get very annoying.

Paul tells Alex that Kevin told him Cody's asking if there's a way to save him. Paul wants to talk about Kevin later and says even Jason is sketched out.

Kevin's antsy that he's not getting a beer from Alex's HOH stash this week. Jason saying that he doesn't ask for stuff and making people uncomfortable because if they wanted him to have it they'd offer. Kevin's got a booze thing, but it might just be his lingering issues without being out of the loop and second to kids.

Josh keep hitting the "I told you guys about Elena!" note hard and Alex placates him by saying they're leaving her on the block and they can talk about her vs Cody through the week.

Cody randomly claims that the BB16 cast had visceral hatred for Victoria and detested sharing the same space as her. I think Cody is projecting.

Kevin trying to get Alex riled up about Elena. He's trying to convince her to make Elena a Have Not. Alex says she promised she wouldn't so she's gonna just say "I'm keeping my promise" and be passive aggressive.

Elena keeps going to Cody for positive reinforcement that she did the right thing with POV. Maybe if you're seeking out Cody as the only person who agrees with your game moves you need to take a step back and reconsider things.

This seems kind of terrible.

Elena tells Mark that Cody told her people were talking poo poo about her and the POV in HOH. That didn't take long. Elena throwing shade on Mark that he didn't tell her, but he wasn't there. Elena says Alex can't trust her anymore but then says a snarky "be better at Big Brother" to the person who has won 2 HOHs, is super safe in the house right now, is on her way to a second successful HOH week. Elena really going hard on "she doesn't know how to play Big Brother" about not knowing Elena would take a prize. I dare say staying safe in the game and building trust is a bigger thing, but to each their own.

Elena: Literally, be a more intelligent human being and you wouldn't get into these situations.
Elena has zero self awareness.

Mark: Its how the game is played this summer.
Elena: Everyone is a pussy! Why?!

Mark: You said it best when I told you about the Five Horsemen. "We got stuck with the scabs."

I genuinely love that Mark seems to be fantasizing about playing with Cowboy and Jase. I think that's who he thinks are the "Five Horsemen." I don't know.

Cody joins them and says "this house is so loving weird right now." Mark and Elena say its always been like that. Cody just joined the Big Brother House on Day 53 and Marlena are catching him up on the right level of self pity.

The house is already out of eggs. Mark is not happy about this.

Paul's finally realized he doesn't actually have to ride the scooter and can walk alongside it.

Jason calls Paul and Christmas "fudgepackers" and gets scolded by Christmas.

Josh and Cody are playing pool.

Cody is SUPER amused at Paul and Christmas' predicament. This may be the happiest day he's had in the BB House and his game was basically ended today.

Paul telling Christmas that Kevin's trying to clean up his Cody stuff and saying "when the votes come out 8-0 people will see I'm fine." Paul tells her that Cody is telling people he has a kid now to try and get sympathy. Paul thinks Kevin's trying to shift the target and keep Cody around.

This suuuuuuucks.

She has to pitch a tent whenever a bugle sounds. She has to carry all the gear around. She also has to set up a grill, start a fire, and grill hotdogs.

Alex: That's what happens when you promise not to curse people.

Jason: Sweet! They give you propane!

BUGLE

Correction, she has to pitch a tent and set up a full campsite with grill and hotdogs. And then tear it down and lug the equipment around until next time. God drat this punishment sucks.

Mark and Elena abandon the house and Alex as she pitches a tent and go in the house to spend more time telling themselves that the HOH is the idiot for not expecting the person on the block who has been on the outs with the house for weeks to break a deal and give her a sucky punishment and take $5K from her.

Elena: Sucks to be Alex.
Mark: Its her fault.

Alex is having a hard time with the tent and ain't happy with Elena.

Now Elena is telling Matt how this is so Alex's own fault and really, she's the victim.
Matt: I'm gonna let this stay between the two of ya'll... Good luck.

Meanwhile Cody's hanging out with everyone and giving Alex tips about how to handle the equipment and propane. Could Cody have a chance this week? Elena seems to be trying to make it possible.

The fake grass melted with the grill lid and it got stuck.

Meanwhile Elena is sitting there listening to Mark tell her why she's special and amazing and a great house guest.

And Alex just gets super salty with Elena with the rest of the house while they advise her to hold it together. Paul saying not to lose sight just because Cody is trying to get back into the house and Elena is pulling this stuff. Josh pushing for Elena and saying Alex should pull her out of the Outback Dinner (they all agreed all the POV players would get it). Alex says she wants to leave Elena on the block just in case.

Elena is SO bad at Big Brother that Cody is currently gaming circles around her.
