By the way, if any of you hasn't read The Origins of Totalitarianism by Hanna Arendt you really really should. Steve Bannon is running this show and he most certainly read it. I swear to god these people are following it as a how-to manual. Trump isn't the problem, the problem is the shift in worldview of a significant part - doesn't need to be a majority - of the electorate. Consider that despite everything that is going on Trump still has a majority support with Republicans. It's not that they don't know or aren't informed, it's that they don't care, this is what they want now and the ends justify the means. In the medium run that means that whenever the cycle moves to the right you'll get some Trumpian rear end in a top hat sticking another knife in the system until the whole thing collapses out of delusion and apathy. And then you have Fox News spewing outright propaganda and stirring the pot 24 hours a day.
