I keep searching but the only actual monument I can find for Longstreet is the ground placed statue in Gettysburg, he has a few roads and buildings in his name though. A bit odd that southern states wouldn't want to preserve the history of a talented confederate general that was central in many victories but after the war rejoined the Union and urged his countrymen to work together to rebuild the south for all Americans, black and white. Must be something in that message that wasn't so tasteful to them.

I don't know about anyone else, but for me personally the only way I have of understanding history is looking at statues. If there isn't a statue glorifying something in my field of vision at any given moment, I have no idea it occurred. This is how the human brain works as I understand it.
