Yeah, it seems to me like Praman resurrected Cio in the expectation that she'd be the same woman he'd taken as wife/partner-in-crime, for the exact same professional relationship; upon discovering that she wasn't interested, he immediately sequestered her in his attic to work as a secretary (since he might as well get something out of this whole debacle).
