A friend in the industry chatted to someone who was in a lead position working on SC/SQ42 in the UK (and who left last year) and the gist was:

Honestly, I've watched another game streamer who does Dogcam. The dog doesn't have to actually do anything. He can just lie there and people will comment on it while watching you play.
