As someone who hasn't read the manga, Ballroom so far has mostly felt like it's meandering, and it's hard to get invested in the dance scenes when they're so filled with still shots.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was better at saying what's happening in the dances but it's being that very uncommunicative and unhelpful kind of melodramatic about everything Also, I watched the Goat episode of that show and it was great. They've been turned into goats and discover that meandering around chomping on delicious spinach isn't so bad. I mean, I haven't seen any other episodes and they just mention that they've been turned into animals before in the actual show and are now goats. I have no idea if it's a super plot focused short or anything but this seems like just a fun one-off thing they did in character

Started watching K&M today. Have to agree, and i have the same complaint with the manga. My other complaint is: they skipped a decent amount of stuff in the first episode. Which sucks, because it was still good characterization for people. I do understand them wanting to get to the more robot-y bits though.

Doublepooooost. I think the super-quick pacing of the anime works against it. You never really get used to anything, it never lets you get your footing. It brings it down from what could be a very strong anime deapite the OP MC to merely being okay. I may just stop watching and continue reading the manga, who knows

There's a lot of good completely new stuff this season: Kakegurui (I also really like that the ED did some really good stuff with a great song and 3 short walk cycles) Made in Abyss Tsurezure Children and a few others No reason to waste time on a subpar born in another world anime
