Civvie here. What's a MAJCOM? A separate branch of the Military? Or just a subbranch of the USAF?

Can't say I see that as a bad thing. Integration will probably suck because the other branches are going to need a lot of that themselves for everything they do but a dedicated branch is probably a good idea. Also gets us closer to a dystopian sci-fi future and finally gives the air force someone to look down on.

Looking forward to even stupider unit patches than some of the jokes we have already.

Basically the largest subdivision of the USAF below Headquarters Air Force (HAF), above the Numbered Air Force level. They are organized functionally (Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command) or geographically (Pacific Air Forces).

A bunch of conservatives are out protesting the Lenin statue in Seattle. ANd by a bunch I mean like... 7 people. It's blatantly a jab at the people who are asking for confederate monuments to be taken down.

My question is has anyone on the left said the Lenin statue shouldn't be taken down?

I don't know about the left, but the conservative argument for not taking it down is that it's privately owned, on private property.

It looks like a park but it's really like a patio for a mini mall type thing.

Currently we have a bunch of sub-commands in each branch fumble-loving around doing their own thing and not treating it like a serious new realm of conflict that needs to be addressed at the highest levels for what it is. In addition to some being...behind the times...having multiple organizations like this working independently creates or widens security gaps with everyone not being on the same page in a given set of circumstances. One central organization that concentrates on cyber security will, theoretically, take it seriously and it can have units that work with the existing branches to give them the best-practices that can then be tailored to the individual circumstances instead of everyone tripping over their own dicks one step at a timd.
