The only issue is that we are walking towards our stated goal as a country while carrying 1000 lb bounders on every limb.

Trump will never resign until an actual impeachment process has begun and maybe not even then, since he firmly believes he can talk his way out of anything. If the Mueller investigation results in indictments of admin officials, I think he'll throw anyone who isn't family under the bus. He'll pardon his kids if it comes to that... maybe.

When will we hear about Mueller's findings? I understand there's a lot of closed door hearings going on, but does the silence mean they've hit something big and are keeping it locked down so all the facts line up before the story is released to the media?

Trump was complicit in illegal collusion with Russia," it didn't happen, or if it did, there isn't definitive proof/it wasn't definitely illegal. Why? Guess what. Didn't happen, because it was a dumb non-scandal. This isn't a dumb non-scandal, but it's a scandal without actual proof of a definitive crime, and until such a thing exists it might as well be a non-scandal with a Republican Congress disinterested in attacking their ticket to tax breaks for the rich.

The silence means Mueller is a good leader and has chosen his team well, and not a whole lot can be inferred beyond that. If they were coming up goose eggs you'd be just as likely to hear leaks of it, if not moreso. I don't think anybody can make a guess as to when any actual results start getting published/indictments (if any) start getting issued.

These things can take years. Watergate took something like 2-3 years before Nixon resigned. The Ken Starr investigation started early in Clinton's first term under a different prosecutor.

And if you want to say they're looking for a specifically impeachable offense; Donnie has loving *admitted* to impeachable offenses while in office, but the GOP of course wont hold him accountable. Like it's difficult to imagine when this investigation will be complete because the two normal stopping points; when there is no more evidence to sift through and when a slam dunk case can be made, are basically non-applicable.
