Aside from the pain are there any actual problems doing that? Infection from the burn maybe?

Not a lot is going to grow in the (potentially expansive) shaded area under all the panels. You can't really tell from the bit of quoted text whether this one was a guy angry about losing a large green space to development or just being dumb as hell like the cancer person and the fake study.

You could grow mushrooms under it and use the waste water from cleaning the panels on the crop.

I'm really more interested in the teleportation technology that city worker used to arrive at the sink hole so quickly. In other news I saw one of those tree removal guys (like Ashplund but not Ashplund) on his lunch brake just chillin... in the IN-chute of his trailer sized wood chipper. I regret that my wife was with me and I could not bring photographic evidence.

White truck with no logo though and a yellow chipper... although I feel like I've seen actual Ashplunhd trucks in Chicagoland so idk wtf. EDIT: Also, seemed like privately hired work too, they weren't clearing utility linty lines. Seemed like they were doing whole tree removal in somebody's back yard though there was another truck (with no chipper) up the street a bit. Their defining characteristic is arguably that they take 6 V lantern batteries, and searching for that (“6v lantern” or “battery lantern”) turns up several models—all the better if you can filter by category to remove the actual batteries from results. He was observant and careful (and lucky!) but according to him the whole thing seemed incredibly unsafe at times. He was one of the few tree trimmers in our area that did use the 12” “circular saw on a stick” trimmer instead of the “chainsaw on a stick” trimmer while working in the bucket.
