The Rayman Legends demo is now available from the Switch eShop (check the coming soon screen) and it's very good. Probably playing this for a bit until Mania comes out.

Is that the RE1 clone? The concept sounded interesting but I can't trust any game that latches on to a visual aesthetic like that.

It's RE1 with randomly generated layouts, a timer, and a level up mechanic. Apparently if you clear a run you get dropped into another run with your inventory and stats but it cuts your max time. If you manage to clear three runs without dying then you win I think. It's bizarre but I like the footstep sound effect and they have a CRT mode in the options which is annoying as gently caress but kind of nostalgic.
