I would give up one of Boston's good things* to get out from under Thomas' payday and replace it with Kyrie. Perhaps even two good things. *Crowder is cool and all but does not qualify

So am I right in thinking that a framework of Kyrie for IT, Crowder, and a 1st would be extremely lopsided in Cleveland's favour? What would they have to add to balance that out?

Kyrie's the best player in the deal and is under contract until 2019. Isiah Thomas older, with a bad hip, and is a FA after this season.

It would be insanely bad rear end for this trade to get agreed to only for IT to fail a physical, ruining the locker rooms of the only two good teams in the East
