What kind of insufferable egotistical cocksucker actually says this poo poo about themselves? Like, conservatives may believe evil things, but at least they usually aren't intellectual elitists who believe everyone else just isn't as unbiased and impartial as they are. I feel like this sort of political outlook says something bad about a person on a level that goes beyond just being ignorant or identifying with a group that is expected to hold certain bad political views. Like it indicates a fundamentally toxic personality.

https://twitter.com/MarkAmesExiled/status/900681537481564161 This tweet has since been deleted, but reading the actual article it's not much better. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/08/23/world/middleeast/yemen-cholera-humanitarian-crisis.html?mcubz=3 According to this article, history starts in 2014 when the Houthis took over Sana'a. It reports the facts, in which it's clear that the Saudi Coalition with American assistance, is responsible for the cholera outbreak. Bombing of residential areas and civilian infrastructure directly caused the failure of sewage systems that led to this crisis. The Saudi coalition's economic blockade of Yemen has also made the civilian population more vulnerable to cholera through malnutrition and lack of medicine - especially children. But the editorial line of the article pretends that both sides are at fault, and that this is just a natural consequence of a war where both sides refuse to back down. America's role as an accessory to biological warfare on a civilian population is also never directly confronted.

I'd still vote for such people over conservatives, but I sure don't enjoy doing so.
