i've done it, it doesn't. there's more visible jitter if you're dragging windows around like crazy, otherwise you mostly won't notice

Asymmetric POSTer posted:for a conference room tv for presentations itd probably be fine i'm assuming that's the intended use case. i did it for a bit when i first got my 4k display as the firmware was poo poo and wouldn't do 60hz with full rgb. you can see it, but it doesn't interfere with working on documents or web browsing really. in my case it was less bad than dealing with splotchy bullshit from lowered colour resolution
