It's weird how for several months we've been in this state where the status quo feels impossible to keep going yet any remedy to the status quo feels even more impossible. Btw regarding Kent State, right after the massacre a plurality of Americans thought that those rioting peacenik students deserved it. It didn't become this inflection point until much later in historiography. Maybe our Kent State moment has already happened or it's three years away or never happening.
