I hope at least one of Hellboy's alternate pieces of gear will be his trademark jorts. Or maybe they're already part of his standard outfit. His legs were encased in shadows for the entirety of the trailer, so I couldn't really tell.

There are more than enough characters just in the Invincible universe to populate a fighting game, but it would have to be rated M and you'd need a dismemberment mechanic like Time Killers.

It's just diminishing returns. Akuma in Tekken owns but if the second guest character was another loving street fighter it would naturally be less impressive. You've already seen this trick. so reaction goes from "Haha, cool!" to "Oh...really?" and I predict a firm "gently caress off" if they pull this again in pack 3. It doesn't help that after Scorpion and Sub-Zero you're moving into much less notable MK characters. Sub-Zero and Scorp have mass media recognition but nobody cares about Raiden unless he's Christopher Lambert. Goro probably would have been a better pull or just like...don't do another MK guest character.
