I need to draw up a Goofus and Gallant on using the elevators in Salmon Run, gently caress me. Even when it's not me being left behind, 2/3 people with eggs will be on the elevator and the other person will just blast it up.

Are they loitering or not paying attention? Then raise it without them. Just use your eyes. Its not hard. Elevator problems occur when some idiot raises the elevator right before someone can jump onto it and then they get smeared against the wall by a steel eel.

If they're headed toward the elevator, just wait a bit for them to get on if they're not too far away. Only reason to raise it earlier is if you're going to die or fail the round if you don't.

Wasting a small amount of time usually isn't an issue. The problem is when you raise the elevator right before someone can jump on it and then they get smashed against it by the angry fish right behind them. By the time the elevator drops back down they are dead, and if you had just looked behind you and waited a second for them they would have been fine.  Funny, that’s what I look like playing Salmon Run. Speaking of which, holy cow my run tonight had to have been about 90% high tide (and one nail biting fog-filled low tide on round 3). We were barely scraping by or wiping in round three thru a good ten games.

I do go on a loss streak when I hit S or a super long loss streak if I go past the OK line in S so I'm in A+ more often than not...
