Like if I binge on kpop for a weekend, I have to listen to some scratchy 1910 blues records afterwards, to restore the balance.

Also the best Katy Perry song is Teenage Dream and it's not even close. It's not super obviously sexualized (see: I Kissed a Girl, Birthday, Peacock) and it's also not really maudlin and serious (Firework, Roar), it's just a really sweet song about capturing that weird feeling of teenage love. I think Last Friday Night is a distant second.

I initially hated the chorus but it's grown on me with repeated listens. Like, yeah, she could have built on the rest of the song, but then the chorus would just be another pop song. Slowing it down like she did really fits what she's going for with this album, and it's viscous. This album is going to be downright nasty. Also, the chorus is an interpolation of "I'm Too Sexy" from Right Said Fred, which somehow makes it even better
