Those leaks seem very plausible for the show. Kind of sucks because I really don't like the direction they went with several things. I'm still not completely convinced they're real, though. A few things don't quite seem legit, and The wild fire nuke in the dragon pit is amazingly stupid. Kind of seems like a, "Hmm, how can we kill off everyone else really quick, just for the sake of killing them off...oh yeah, wild fire!" sort of deal. Daenerys dying in child birth is incredibly lame, as is her then being hung up and pelted with poo poo postmortem. Lame as that is, though, it's absolutely something I could see the show and even GRRM doing. "Girl sold into slavery rises to become the Dragon Queen and sails forth to destroy the armies of the undead and retake her father's throne from usurpers...but oops! She died giving birth. Womp-womp. Oh, also they hang up her dead body and throw poo poo at it, lolol".

It still blows my mind that "bad pussy" is a line that was written by a professional writer, ok'd by a professional director, spoken by a professional actress and not cut out by a professional editor. There's probably more steps and more people involved, but the point is that somehow several presumably experienced and highly paid people agreed that "bad pussy" was something that should be said in one of the world's most popular TV shows.

You're right though that the writing team is probably just having fun putting out schlock at this point. They know they can get away with it because of ridiculously popular the show is, especially when they know it won't be running long enough for the general audiences to abandon it.

The stinger at the end is that Bran's corpse is put on a thing in the Endless Winter land super far north and becomes the new Night's King. Most importantly. The Cleganebowl is the Mountain vs Sandor, Arya and Nymeria which is some fuckin' bullshit because it's the Cleganebowl not the Clegane and friendsbowl. She's a horrible, horrible, horrible person and character. Like I've always interpreted her and Jon as deliberate antitheses of one another; they are both Targ heirs, but one is constantly handed every advantage and thing they could need but, due to their own massive ineptitude, manages to gently caress it up and piss it all away, constantly somehow failing upwards into bigger and better disasters. Like I know there are lots of people, men and women alike, who look at Dany and somehow see an empowered heroine, I've had the displeasure of meeting some, but I don't loving get how anyone can be so stupid. She's a monstrous person and even if you think she means well (which involves directly ignoring her stated motivations) then the fact still remains that her entire legacy is literally death and ruin. Every single place she visited in Essos she left a smoking ruin, literally or metaphorically. Everywhere she goes she has literally left naught but death and ruin in her wake. EDIT: And that's not even bringing up the Iraq Wars metaphors or the fact she's practically White Privilege: the character.

I think dave&dan's erm...perspective on feminism is deeply reductive and problematic, and that this is the main reason for the current godawful Winterfell arc but they did go through a lot of trouble to arrange #WomenOnTop situations in seasons 5, 6 and 7, and seemed happy to accept the plaudits they got for it can't see them reversing this so thoroughly in season 8
