ship to an amazon locker to minimize the time it's sitting around in the heat

they'll refund if it is so why not risk it? just have a backup planned.

I bought it from a store called Power Records, kind of far from my city. It was expensive as gently caress, but I decided to get it, my uncle gave me an expensive item to sell on ebay and is letting me keep the money.

I bought the record as a historical artifact. I don't think many survive. The songs on this record that the church performed, drew a lot of people in, and set the stage for Jim Jones sermons.

I think he started out as a semi good pastor, he vigorously fought racism, and adopted the first black child in his state of Indiana.

But then he got into drugs, probably uppers, and he started to get more paranoid, and militant, and political, and while people enjoyed Guyana, they were bummed out when he was there.

But I like studying these cult leaders, and how they manage to draw people in, even intelligent and well educated people get sucked in. It's all charisma.

This is a really good documentary on Jonestown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydHRESPjBxg

Nah, you made the right choice, that other dresser is just mdf so the first bump or chip will irreparably expose the sawdust and glue its comprised of. Looks nice in the showroom, but it's poo poo and the other dresser should be a lot more durable in the long run.

For wallets, why not get one of these adhesive backed silicone pouches and slap it on the back of your phone? I've been doing that for years, carrying 3-4 random cards (ID + credit & debit card and a little bit of cash plus the occasional gift card). What more do you really need in a wallet? Hell, it's arguable you don't even need the physical cards with Samsung pay, since it mimics the magnetic strip so your phone will work with basically any reader. Plus the adhesive on these things is ridiculous, the first one I had was recycled and reapplied to multiple devices before I replaced it.

For content, bought an Ursack Minor to help keep small critters and raccoons from loving with my food while backpacking:

It basically has a kevlar/stainless steel thread that prevents animals from gnawing holes in it. I've honestly never had an issue hanging my food, but I figured it's cheap insurance.

Maybe if you still live on the third world where people swipe credit cards. The only things that use my stripe are parking machines (and, weirdly, hotel restaurants?) and I don't think Samsung Pay is going to do the insert-and-withdraw swipe very well. Otherwise it's chip-and-pin or tap.

It doesn't support NFC-based payments as well?

NFC isn't universal here, and is often limited in amount ($100?). It's nice when it works, but a solution that relies on swipe or NFC isn't going to really play where I am.

Yeah, red states keep voting for the policy makers that gently caress them the hardest and keep them poor and sick, so they'll die off faster and self-correct.
