Aggressors getting to double shoot is mostly a defensive thing since 18" range and a relatively fragile unit means your opponent has to really not pay attention to walk into that.

Glorious when it works though.

Thanks! I've always felt that Chaos ought to be, well, chaotic. Bits scavanged, customized, changed by the warp. As long as the colour scheme pulls everything together, it can work. The old plastics are far too clean and samey, so it feels great to work with Chaos marines with some character.

The plasma gun technique is surprisingly quick and easy, just a wierd little twist on drybrushing I found on youtube.

Sure, maybe the VDR rules will turn out to be amazing and they'll hugely expand them and in a year's time there'll be a ton of scope for them. But right now all that exists is a very limited set of rules for a single vehicle and tons of people online (not just itt) are imagining it to be a way bigger thing than it really is, and will inevitably be disappointed.

I'm of two minds about that. It seems like a cheap cash grab but I can understand wanting the game to be fully playable with just the main box and not wanting to include 3D scenery in the main box. It'll keep the starting price down and prevent the inventory issues that Shadow Wars had.

TTerrible

Including the rules for the terrain would have taken up a page in the rulebook. It'll have taken more time to adapt the 40k/necro mashup to the tiles and get them designed. There is nothing behind this but brexit bucks.

I would also still appreciate some danger.

I'm expecting it'll be more gangs and monsters in addition to vertical terrain. Probably more campaign options and maybe hired guns. Basically what the Deathzone supplement was, but for Necromunda.

It's dumb from a day zero DLC model, but it makes sense if they're selling the box as a complete game. They don't want to put rules for "things you don't have" in there to frustrate hypothetical new players.

I mean, I don't especially like it but I get it.

I painted some recently and had exactly the opposite reaction - I was surprised how well the sculpts had held up. Compared to some of the overly-detailed crap that's coming out these days, they were actually kind of fun to paint.
