The series has so many good touches. Like how the in-engine scenes use actual animations from the game rather than hand-rigging the models to make them better. And how the quest acceptance song played when Aiko was told to find out why people were quitting.

the first 5 minutes of the first episode are real good, where they make you think clumsy OL is gonna be a main character and then she gets brutally decapitated to show you how hardcore the show is gonna be. its all downhill from there

I haven't seen Elfen Lied since I was in highschool. I loved it because it featured a lot of titties and gore, and thus it became like my favorite anime. I'm afraid to rewatch it as I'm worried it may not hold up to my nostalgia.

Vagrant Story isn't really an action RPG, it's like Parasite Eve only melee combat instead of guns. Sadly it's kind of a chore to play but everything else about it owns.

You don't even need to that much but the game constantly shoves it down your throat how important they are when it's the weapons innate damage type that matters and affinity is just a bonus.
