Eli Lake and Michael Weiss having continued success and prestige are, in a way, far better proof of the sickness of the 'establishment' than Trump's elections. They are like smaller-scale David Brookses, hopping from side to side to stitch together a meaner, more warlike status-quo. That they get to pass as 'moderates' would be weird if their usefulness to a system that thrives on apathy wasn't so transparent.

He is up there just relishing thoughts of openly murdering labor at the bad end of a rifle, and if he were some nobody without a spotlight it would remain gross and evil but practically inconsequential. Instead he has a show on comedy central, bemoaning property damage and worshiping wealth in an attempt to retain control of the narrative away from the left. So he's like your generic Democrat but with some additional overt evil mixed in jesus christ that laughter.

Granted, it wasn't even just violence, but he was endorsing using live ammo because "tear gas never ended a strike." He just keeps on going on as well, "police pointing guns at the strikers was all the warning they needed." At the end of the day, a decision was made between TDS, Comedy Central, and its parent company to hire that guy and if anything it speaks more about that corporate culture than even Noah himself.
