Wait for a sale, when they get a new city or writer they usually cut prices, I got in with a 20 or 30% off when they hired Custance. You get access to ANYTHING on the Athletic for one cost. And their app is very nice. I swear I dont work for them, I just hope they do really well and continue doing amazing things.

Not just for Kid Rock but to also protest the arena as a symbol of Two Detroits and the enormous amount of money this city has given to the Illitch family for little return investment to the average Detroiter.

1. Guentzel should play wing with Crosby 2. They can get a third line center by the trade deadline, who cares

One thing Dom notes is that Game Score can be hard on guys that don't shoot the puck ever, but also just about everybody on that team is playing over their heads possession-wise so there's really nothing to recommend the defensive types.

Not too many centers out there for the Pens to sign, it's the same for the Rangers (though Pens centers are worlds better than the Rangers) Duchene is still out there I guess but the Avs seem to want a fair bit for him. Could see them asking for a guy like Guentzel in return

I don't see who can do the stepping up unless one of the kids (Simon/Aston-Reese) is ready for the big-time, and I don't think either of them is. I could also see trying Rust at center because his game is pretty suited for it. Unfortunately, neither he nor any of our other wingers have ever played center professionally.

I just find it particularly hilarious when Detroit media loses its poo poo over 'the organization known as antifa.' I mean an unorganized decentralized mishmash of peoples that basically only exist together because 'gently caress fascism' is kinda how it works. The media getting twisted up over it is funny/vaguely terrifying. Agreed on the framing and sending to Ken Holland. That plot/graph is magical. Jordan7hm posted:Guentzel might end up as a center in the NHL, but I kind of doubt it. He's an offense oriented guy on a team with two top 10 centers. I think you keep Jake on the wing. It's probably too much offense to give up (potentially who knows if he's legit or hit an insane hot streak). Rowney looked good in the bits that he played, but if you could keep him as the 4c and PK guy I think he'll be safer/better. Granted Bonino didn't exactly light the world on fire with points either so it might be fine. Levitate posted:Duchene is still out there I guess but the Avs seem to want a fair bit for him. Could see them asking for a guy like Guentzel in return Getting Duchene without selling out the farm would be the crux of the issue. That lead me to looking around the league and someone like Jordan Staal, but I don't know if you want to take on his contract either. Plekanec might be an interesting one if you can get Mtl to deal. In searching a rental like Bryan Little might be the best route if something like that is even possible.
