Things are going to poo poo in many places in Europe, and the easiest way to explain this to Europeans is "they're trying to make us like America".

She's excited to move to the US eventually, with our terrible healthcare being the 1 thing scaring her. -I definitely miss some things. People are nicer in the US I find; restaurant service and customer support (for stuff like car insurance, setting up internet, etc) are way better. Yes, even considering Comcast - I've had friends that had to wait 3 months to get their internet hooked up here. French speakers are dicks. -It'd be different in rural France or Germany or something, but here in Benelux I miss the nature. The massive scale of the US causes its own problems, but our nature is amazing and people aren't as crowded. Long term, it's US or bust. Europe is going to get way more hosed by climate change, both directly and through refugees/chaos caused by refugees. It's already been a "crisis" mostly due to Syria, now think about decades from now when the Middle East is literally uninhabitable. So the US will always have that going for it: being lucky enough to be hosed somewhat less than the rest of the world.

Eh, it'd take a godfather offer to get me to consider moving to Western Europe at this point in my life. Five years ago I'd have done it in a heartbeat, but I've since developed a very robust and well-paying career here in the States.

Having spent alot of time in both places, I would honestly not enjoy moving to europe at all. Its very lonely, people are cold and emotionally distant. Nobody smiles, your neighbors avoid eye contact, coworkers dont say hello or goodbye.
