It's just that in the game world, "chaotic" means things like "steals from the rich or damages their property" and "breaks into locked buildings in search of adventure". The player considers himself chaotic for doing things like "not keeping a regular and reasonable hygiene schedule" and "breaking into a girl's room to sniff her socks".
