I don't think a President Pence would last long enough to pass or do anything. Another election would probably happen. You would have all the Dems, and all the Trumpers screaming bloody murder and not wanting a single thing to do with Pence. The last of the Republicans would try to keep him around but ultimately agree he wasn't who everyone voted for.

I read the article several times and it's an excellent article that presents a very salient and accurate thesis about the history of white supremacy but it has several weaknesses eg it ignores that Trump got more votes from nearly all minority groups than Romney did (clarify: I'm talking about the part where he talks about how working-class minorities weren't driven into Trump's arms -- obviously it's because Trump is a racist piss Nazi), attempts to paint Bernie as anti-black when his message was "your leaders need to actually help you, not just look like you" (several paragraphs after talking about how Obama was ineffectual, even), and places Trump's victory entirely and exclusively on him wielding white supremacy without taking in account that Trump barely won by a hair, that no other white man could have done what Trump did and gotten away with it, that misogyny played a huge part in the election, and that the election was influenced by Russia SKULL.GIF has issued a correction as of 17:49 on Sep 7, 2017 |
