the corporate media chose to give the cheeto clown racist man tons of free air time even though there was also another super unusual candidate in the race and they sought to block out the latter lol

Hillary Clinton is given advice and then says she feels "put in a straightjacket" by the advisor. I guess the buck never stops with Hillary Clinton Also, on the topic of criticizing Bernie over not attacking Russia more after the DNC hacking, at the time I felt that it was a desperate ploy to try to summon a post-9/11-like unity and use it to to deflect from the contents of the leaks released by the hacking and silence dissent regarding its contents, and everything that has come to light regarding how deeply Trump and Russia hasn't changed that.

kinda weird that Clinton's knocking people who go out to protest as "too little, too late" when she stayed in her room and didn't say anything 'til the next day the night Trump won

I'd still, even now, rather be dealing with Hillary's fuckups than Trump's (though I admittedly wouldn't be laughing quite as hard) but god, I don't think I've ever seen someone at her level of prominence melt down quite so thoroughly and quite so unnecessarily and it's kind of actively painful to watch. She's turning into the political equivalent of Sunset Boulevard's Norma Desmond and if I were William Holden I'd be looking pretty drat nervous right about now.

It's probably because Hillary is used to getting things via corrupt Beltway connections and Clinton Dynasty nepotism. She's not too good at winning actually contested elections even when she had double the campaign budget of Trump.

etalian posted:At least Bernie has been class act I'll admit, I was super skeptical about Bernie during the primary. Not about his intentions, but about his ability, and, a bit, about how well he could resist the temptation to, well, do what Hillary's doing now, I guess. I don't really know what's in his heart, only he knows that. But he is like the platonic ideal of dutiful service to party, country, and principle in the things he does, and if it's an act, it's a really loving good one. The reason I say (and I'm not really joking when I say it) that he's a Democrat is because I can't think of someone who's done more in tireless, thankless service for the Democratic Party in 2016 and 2017 than Bernie Sanders, while constantly being poo poo on for being this divisive figure when he's the exact loving opposite. If he does run in 2020, then he has my unwavering...well, okay, if it's between him and Keith Ellison in the primary somehow, that'll be an interesting day. But yeah. I'm on Team Bernie for the foreseeable. Dude's earned my respect and my trust. (Still don't think he'd have won, though.) Al! posted:i knew she was pathetic but the slave thing was fully what flipped the coin for me Yeah. Particularly (and I think it was you who said it originally) her reaction to being around convicted criminals being one of "they're...they laugh and love and cry almost like they're real people". I had to re-evaluate a lot of things that day.
