So Joe Rogan had on that Google guy the other day on his show. Anyone see it? I don't like watching videos where you have some controversial dude and nobody to push back when they make questionable claims, so I haven't seen it myself, yet. But I do sorta want to only because one of my friends, who really seems to agree with what he's been saying, keeps insisting that I'm misinterpreting what the guy is actually advocating.

I think its been said in the Joe Rogan thread a few times that its attraction is like sitting with the stoner bros on the back porch as a party is winding down. Its interesting noise where you can enjoy the company of people who really believe in these conspiracy theories but you are too hung over/over the party to shoot them down plus where's the fun in that?

I never really listened to Joe Rogan much but back when I was in college, it seemed like he stuck to his "I'm not on either side, this is ALTERNATIVE MEDIA" guns a lot more consistently than he does today. He still got mentioned in the same sentence as a lot of right-wing shitheads, but he came across as more of a shock jock than anything else. Now, though, yeah, it seems like he's just Alex Jones Lite. It seems like he went through the South Park cycle of "Both sides are bad!" slowly devolving into "but liberals are worse in every way!"
