I can't help but feel like this is going to end with Popeye discovering that poor people are all lazy bums. Which initially seems unlikely, considering the Depression forced Blondie to give up being a flapper, but we're talking the same time period where Communists were the only thing keeping Daddy Warbucks from employing hardworking Americans everywhere.
