EasyEW posted:Thimble Theater, starring Popeye the Depression-Era Socialist (March 31-April 1, 1931) I can't help but feel like this is going to end with Popeye discovering that poor people are all lazy bums. Which initially seems unlikely, considering the Depression forced Blondie to give up being a flapper, but we're talking the same time period where Communists were the only thing keeping Daddy Warbucks from employing hardworking Americans everywhere. (that's all hearsay I don't think i've ever read Blondie or Annie from this era, that's just how I've heard them described) Strontium posted:Intelligent Life It's breaking my brain how Barry is the character we're supposed to think is the least naturally appealing. I love the CSI guy in Pros and Cons. I love everybody in Pros and Cons. I also laughed at a NeoDilbert but it was really Alices line rather than the true punchline. "Sounds Dumb. Is there any downside?" just struck me funny.

That egg storyline in "U.S. Acres" was later adapted into the show in season 4. It was told in a flashback after the gang receives a ton of letters asking about Sheldon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiZS0nbhwxg Starts at 8:43
