I'm assuming you can sign into your cable/streaming provider of choice and it tells you what apps support it. Like I use SlingTV in the SSO and it just pops up what apps I can use with it (a lot)

Hard to tell until we get more details, but it looks like they're essentially adding an API to Apple TV that developers of existing streaming sports apps (ESPN, MLB.TV, NBCSports etc.) can use to have their content show up in the TV app and send you notifications.

Still pretty cool, but not some kind of amazing world-breaking addition to Apple TV.

the cool thing is that tons of games are blacked out and the stream breaks all the time. i pay for it but i end up watching illegal streams half the time because they're more reliable.
