Just uh... Don't do it, then? They're probably soundtracks. The figures and artwork is pretty awesome, though.

Also I think I played too much yesterday... I had gameplay dreams where I was running through move selections and woke up with a headache. Maybe today will just be a Spla2oon day.

Is there anything the Co-Op challenges give? I got 100% everything, doing ultimate challenges later, and also plan on getting all perfects on story missions for the hell of it.

but doing co-op challenges alone just seems pitiful

Not that I know of, except the hard mode co-op challenges have the potential to be as difficult as the ultimate challenges. Also playing with 4 characters and the size of the levels are a lot bigger, so it changes the game up a bit. I'm doing it myself and it's pretty annoying using switching back and forth to a joycon.

Super Mario Bros 3

I beat (post-game spoilers) Ultimate Challenges 1-3 fairly easily. I played the entire game with Luigi and Rabbid Peach, but decided to try something new. rMario and rLuigi are pretty much easy mode. I'm glad I never used them in the main game.

I made the switch to Rabbid Mario, and I get it. Holy gently caress can he demolish some levels.

My problem with the bosses is more just me being a moron with not knowing how to position luigi in the DK Rabbid fight, Not knowing how to dispatch supporters efficiently & quickly (especially with a new ally that I have to learn how to use well during the fight, granted she's a very good one), but with the W3 boss my problem is just that he never shut the gently caress up during battle, it'd prolly have been less annoying if he had more than three lines he kept repeating, so yeah, i see that the problem's more me than the bosses. but, lol if you don't throw luigi into the front of a fight using the double team jump to sentry bounce into steely staring a crowd of enemies

If you're unsure about what's the best team to do the first three, I handily beat them all with rMario and rPeach and it somehow turned them into a joke.

I dunno but doesn't sound that unreasonable... Adds strategy in weighing the trade-offs. Plus you can reset and redistribute any time

I unlocked Rabbid Mario so I guess I'll try him out

- 'Rabbid Mario's dash causes an explosion damaging those around it'
- 'Rabbid Mario's shotgun can hit an extremely large area'
- ''Rabbid Mario can pull enemies towards him'

He's so good

Finished the last boss in Mario + Rabbids boss.

That game doesn't gently caress around.

Like most fights, however, Rabbid Mario is a complete beast.

Some thoughts on that game: it ends with the rabbids still in the Mushroom Kingdom. Does that mean that rabbids are now canonically members of the Mario universe?

The humor hit for me far more than it missed. Boss 3 loving owned. There was an amazing self-awareness to the comedy that could have never come from Nintendo as they're far too precious about Mario. I mean, imagine a Disney movie where the characters are constantly dunking on Mickey Mouse.

It's the best non-platforming Mario game since Super Mario RPG and honestly probably in my top 5 for Mario games ever.

I like it a lot. I just can't help but wondering how cool it would have been if it was Mario vs Bowser's minions. Shyguys, koopas, Hammer Bros, etc.

I'M HUGE!
Wow, world 4 smashers suck. They get a huge damage buff, and there are a few levels where they can appear mid-mission, so they can spawn, move, power-up, and smash a character for 200+ damage all in the same turn.

There is a one-turn warning, of course, but occasionally I'll miss one due to terrain and have to restart the level.

I've seen it.
I went back to do the world 4 challenges and every three seconds, no matter where I was, I heard Bowser Jr. constantly laughing (even during the challenge fights) and it was slowly driving me insane.

I found out it was because he spawns on the map for the secret chapter and for some reason you can hear his laugh everywhere. Nothing was more cathartic than finally shoving a sentry down his throat to shut him up after about one and a half hours of hearing his grating laugh.

The worst thing about that miniboss was that if you restarted the battle you had to do the previous battle all over, too.

It was also the first battle I got less than a Perfect on. Maybe if I do it again with better weapons....

Halfway through World 2 and will probably buy the Story DLC. Just echoing the "Wish I could not use Mario / have a bigger team" sentiment. The only steampunk is one set of the weapons you get for buying the season pass.

There's supposed to be another chapter in 2018 that'll be DLC and the game has an obvious plot hook for it, but I imagine most people will just buy that alone instead of the season pass because  at paying $5-$10 for chapter 1 level weapons.

So after Ultimate challenges there is nothing to do correct? Also I figured they would reward power orbs since the rabbid's bag loving has them in it.

I decided to not use the washing machine to perfect some stages since as far as I know it doesn't do anything at all and I don't feel like redoing 6 stages.

I 100% enjoyed this game but I wish there was more QoL stuff in it like goal checking for challenges, quicker team/weapon/orb selection, the ability to remove orb skills instead of having to undo everything if a mistake is made, more characters/rabbids, online as well.

Mario's movement not being as good as most of the other characters is starting to drive me crazy a little.

On the other hand the challenges are so loving cool and creative. The one in world 3 where you gotta use the tornados to reach the goals was 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Also the one in world 4 where you gotta escort Toadette was tough!

It's good to use him to pace the other characters for team jump attacks, but yeah his movespeed is bad.
