Still wiped both teams though. But dang, the weird laggy framerate dips on the Xbox made it super hard to actually whack anyone.

I'm surprised people haven't data-mined the requirements to find Pamela tapes. That Binding of Isaac DLC was ripped to shreds minutes after release.

The YouTube video with all the tape audio is just the files extracted from the game Item appearance odds would involve heavier, actual datamining instead of just exporting some files, so I don't think anyone's done it yet

I just wanna say, I really hope they do more than just slap early quitters on the wrist with a temporary cooldown. I hope Jason gets a free kill for rage quitters or suicides, maybe at a reduced XP rate of like 50 points per. I had my first spite quitter last night, it was down to me slowly gaining on a Deborah and just when I got within arm's length they quit the game. I was having a decent Jason game after a night of bullshit, almost 6/8 (they were a super-organized team and got a two-seater escape), then it was down to the wire and the last one alive just drops dead and I miss out on that final kill.

that's more guinness trying desperately to stay relevant than anything else. they've been doing poo poo like that for years. reality of the situation is that nobody gives a crap about them the same way they did back in the 90s, when they were such a powerful institution they might as well have been giving out nobel prizes.

Yea back in the early 90s if you had a legit chance of breaking a Guinness World Record you could get a prime time television special out of it. At this point the book is basically just Ripley's Believe It Or Not, a collection of random interesting factoids that really are meaningless but it's a fun coffee table book.

Dead by Daylight is free to play for a week (I think). I imagine Friday has been stealing a lot of its steam. Going to give it a go, but I've got a feeling I've been utterly spoilt by Friday.

Barring some game-changing updates since the last time I tried it (at least a year ago), I'd imagine it'll be a huge disappointment. Hell I own the game after the horror games Humble Bundle and I still have yet to try it again. Imagine F13 but strip all the variety out of the victims' goals, take all the kill animations out and 90% of the "strategy" and make it a pure run-and-hide action game. DbD just feels so barren next to F13, like some cheap off-brand knock off product. e: But DbD did just release a Leatherface DLC. What the gently caress, how do they keep getting these licenses? I've only played a few games but it kinda feels like I've already seen everything. Which is a shame because I do like the idea of having all these different killers and seperating the levelling for killer and kids does mean I can just play AS the killer all the time... But I dunno... I'll keep playing over the weekend at least.

I take it back the game is loving terrible. SO frustrating. The attacking is imprecise as poo poo and I get people just running in tight circle because unless they're RIGHT in front of you nothing connects. I spent almost an entire match just chasing people around the perimeter and nothing else happened. Just lumber after them, swing and miss, regain lost ground, swing and miss. So glad I didn't impulse bu it like I was so close to doing.

If you hold down attack, you lunge forward before slashing. Despite it's flaws, I still really like Dead by Daylight. It's kinda completely different from F13 aside from both being asymmetrical horror games though.

I genuinely liked DbD when it first came out, it was a novel idea and an interesting concept. Then the devs buffed the survivors a shitload and the game shifted into this weird set of super defined player goals that don't offer any real variety in how they are achieved. It's really, really static. And players do not fear the killers any more than someone playing League of Legends may fear the opposing lane player, it's incredibly shallow. Which is hosed because they keep adding cool as gently caress killers (Mike Myers! Leatherface!) but the game just isn't interesting enough to keep me interested. Even the streamers/people who play it seriously seem to be more excited/interested by bars filling up/unlocking stuff than actually playing it. Edit: They are both asymmetric multiplayer horror games, but they really are nothing alike.

DBD is boring and laughably easy. As the killer you almost have to intentionally try not to kill all four opponents in most matches. F13 is way funnier and more interesting and always will be.

I would give anything for a convoluted way for Jason to make a phone call and have one of the dead counselors come back as Michael Myers. Reuse the Tommy cutscene 1:1 and have them share points if either one gets a kill
