Wonder if Lachie Whitfield with have a case to answer for the high contact in that first quarter.

It's going to be so weird when Richmond throttle the poo poo through GWS though and make a grand final... I feel dirty saying Richmond and Grand Final in the same sentence.

Umpiring was 1-way trash early. Eagles are out of the game now. Mitchell Priddis and Petrie look ready to retire on the field.

A wild Eagles goal appears! If JK kicks this and we have a decent 3rd quarter we might be in with a sniff... Gonna be asking a lot though. e: nevermind

lol Jetta what the gently caress was that, don't just handball it a metre to someone who's under pressure.

The umpiring both ways in this game has been pretty questionable. Someone just slung Wellingham by the neck and it was play on lol

Under 15,000 there for GWS? I know they don't have a massive stadium or fan base yet but that's still a bit poor.

Will next week probably be the biggest crowd GWS have ever played in front of?

Anyway some dumb history I figured out since the game ran out of fizz. (I actually worked this out last year when the Doggies made the GF but just as relevant - maybe - depending on next week goes) Last GF (VFL/AFL) 1982 Richmond 1998 Adelaide 1999 Carlton / North Melbourne 2000 Melbourne 2001 Essendon 2004 Brisbane Lions 2007 Port Adelaide 2010 St Kilda 2011 Geelong / Collingwood / Gold Coast (debut) 2012 GWS (debut) 2013 Fremantle 2015 Hawthorn / West Coast 2016 Western Bulldogs / Sydney (Also 1908 University (debut), 1944 Fitzroy depending how pedantic you're feeling)

Apparently the AFL have approached Adelaide and strongly suggested, in the event both us and Richmond make the GF, we surrender our right to the home guernsey so Richmond can wear theirs
# ? Sep 16, 2017 17:24 |
They don't really clash though, do they?
# ? Sep 16, 2017 17:26 |
Not really no, but they make us wear the clash strip away and vice versa in the regular season now. I imagine that if we kindly told the to gently caress off, as we really should do, the AFL would suddenly find it's perfectly acceptable and Richmond don't need to wear the away guernsey
# ? Sep 16, 2017 17:27 |
I'd say gently caress it, rock up wearing the normal colours, pay the fine afterwards. Clash strips are dumb and need to be removed, just after they remove runner.
# ? Sep 16, 2017 17:42 |
They should wear the indigenous strip from last year.
# ? Sep 16, 2017 17:54 |
I figured Richmond will just wear the white shorts with their traditional jumper. Freo had to do that in 2013, and just decided to go full white strip because we very rarely play in the purple jumper/white short combo. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...b19f128a9e21fd0

Adelaide's clash strip is better than Richmond's anyway. Too much yellow! PS. I don't mean Adelaide's "too much yellow" version of the clash strip.
# ? Sep 17, 2017 00:33 |
Best way to solve it is for Adelaide to play GWS instead.
