My cooling strategy for both radiator and intercooling is based on e85 which burns cooler. I also have fairly high compression requiring e85 or race gas. Sure I could do a pump map but I'd run hotter with the tiny rad and it would frankly run like poo poo since it would probably be a non optimal mix. Flex fuel works in smaller hp cars but it's kinda a bitch with my ECU.

Where I live in South Jersey I have a station still so I am good, but it kinda limits me driving it to within the area between my shop in philly and Home outside of Atlantic City. So going west outside of Philly is kinda a pain. I can probably make it with a dump tank in the passenger seat

RAAAAARGH!!!! GIFT CARDS ARE FUCKING RETARDED!!!!

(I need a hug)
People that adopted LPG only back in the day know it all too well. Most people stuck with a dual fuel setup just in case you wanted to go cross state.
Then there's the guys that built high compression cars in the 90s when leaded fuel was still available. After leaded fuel was removed but 98 wasn't everywhere and you want to go somewhere? baby it while pinging until you get to somewhere with avgas or 98.

You can probably put a trailer hitch on that thing and drive around with a spare tank.

Right now the car is broken with the oddest mix of loving wiring issues.

Suddenly I started to get a cam sensor signal loss leading to the car stalling mid pull. Replaced cam sensor twice, they were fine both times. Resistance and continuity test fine with the voltmeter. So I pulled apart the Holley harness and found dreaded solder joints on all the 5v reference sources and sensor grounds. I suspected a intermittent broken solder joint. As most of you know solder sucks for high vibration wire components where crimping reigns supreme(I am a crimper and crimp connector accessories nerd). I went joint by joint connecting everything with adhesive heatshrink covered double crimp butt connectors.

Guess what? Now I get a solid "1" line signal cam in my ECUs sensor system log graph.. So I pull out the voltmeter again and start testing the plug. The connector has three wires and is a hall effect sensor outputting a square wave of 0/1

code:
[5v Reference Voltage], [ECU Sensor Ground], [Signal return]
With ignition on:
Between 5Vref and ground I read 4.851v
Between signal and ground I read 12.3v So battery voltage?!
Between chassis and sensor ground I read no voltage and 168ohms resistance. Seems high but sensor ground is probably isolated?

Electronics nerds is it typical for ecus to have high voltage feedback up the signal wire? I doubt it. Somehow the ecu is feeding 12v up the signal wire or there is a bad pin somewhere inside the ecu connector. The wire with the cam and crank sensors is shielded and sealed from end to end. So it has to be the ecu connector or the ecu? My voltmeter cant be reading 12v falsely right?

I've seen a sharp corner on a solder joint (from where they pulled the iron away to fast) puncture heat shrink and other wires insulation and cause a short before.

I would remove the pin for 5v at the ecu and check it vs ground. If the output is correct at the ecu you know it's the harness.

Thats Travis Accord Magnum's car. Its bad rear end and putting down some seriously fast 1/8th mile times without needing pistons every weekend like Chris Boyettes J series s2000(which is fast as gently caress but... pistons every weekend doesnt = street car)

I fixed three issues with the holley harness. First I removed all the solder joints from the shared 5v and sensor grounds by the ecu plug. Then I repinned the connector terminals with new metripack female pins. The stock ones didnt have enough snap hold on them to make me comfortable in high vibration. Finally I opened up the P1A connector and discovered a frayed wire pretty adjacent to my A22 cam sensor pin I believed was shorting out intermittently. Fortunately I had ecu pins on hand from the accessory connectors so I fixed that wire and also repinned a22 for good measure. All is well now!

Your car seems to have some sort of metallic tumor poking out through the hood, you should really get that checked out.

Also you definitely need some of these.
