m2pt5 posted:Wouldn't that make for ridiculously long surnames after just a couple generations? It can (and does), but generally, a child just takes each of their parents' second surnames (which is generally their father's name). For example: Pablo Garcia Jimenez + Sofia Alvarez Ramon = Juan Ramon Jimenez And Juan's child would inherit the name Jimenez plus the second of the mother's surnames. At least, that's how it works in Spain.

Interesting, my coworker lives in Madrid as his wife is Spanish and when they announced their daughters name they put his surname second to last and hers last. Could it be because it's an Irish surname that would look very odd with the rest of her names being super Spanish so they stuck it back there to make it easier? (I'm just speculating but I'm super curious about this now)

Mazikeen is a character from Lucifer (the show, I dunno about the comic), I think. I don't know if it has any biblical significance. But either way that's bleugh. Not mention some of those others. How is Pippi just now getting it's debut? That's like, Pippi Longstocking, man!
