i wonder if you could market tone epoxy so that people would demand their boards be coated in it...

my folks have this giant dutch cupboard that my great-great-great-great-great whoever built in the 1800s and the glass panels in the doors are held in place by this ridiculously hard brown gunk nobody can figure out what it is, but you basically need a diamond cutter to clean it out

once i get a sample of that sent off to the fbi for analysis i'll start selling buckets of that stuff to cover boards with

If my soldering looked like that does, I'd hide it with epoxy.

That soldering doesn't look all that bad, no real huge globs or shaky looking tiny globs. And they're all relatively shiny too.

It's passable but the epoxying is loving stupid, the biggest argument in favor of hand-wired is that it's overall easier to repair it if ever you need to, which the gooping nullifies

I think the actual argument in favor of hand-wired as far as the stuff that makes most people buy it is audiophile horseshit and "mojo".

I will always go for hand wired if only to know I'm supporting someone physically building the piece of gear. It's a neat connection and a nice way to support the industry.

Very cool little git. Sounds like you should be in some painting with a big bowl of fruit and some Italian poetry or something.

I installed a button that does this on one of my guitars. Pretty sure it cost like 3 bucks in parts.

A killswitch pedal is kinda cool in concept but I'm not sure how to do it in a way that can both handle rapid stomps and not be super awkward feeling.

I have a few Luddite friends with lovely ancient flip phones and I keep wanting to build them an lte telegraph that can tap out text messages and receive them, but instead of reading them on a screen it prints out Morse code on ticker tape.

I guess there's a reason I'm not rich.

E- and that pedal might be good for tabletop noise stuff

I want this installed onto a guitar rather than a cheap-rear end killswitch because it's would own and be terrible at the same time.

The opposite of "pedal" is "manual". So it's a killswitch manual.
